Not sure where you're seeing consensus on him being cut. I'll say the consensus six months ago was that he was getting cut in March, and he didn't. Which basically means he's competing in camp for a roster spot. I also personally don't think Washington's roster spot is tied to Madubuike's...

I mean he's basically like 8-9 months from an achilles tear, and he was pretty much a league-average C when he was healthy. So I wouldn't expect him to just post up in a week and be dominant. I think it'll be a good camp battle, but I also don't think there's a huge gap between the two.

I guess my thought is... does it matter? I'm for once happy that the "problem" areas seem to be at positions that are valued the least. I'm fine being average or even below average at C. Just like I'm find being average or below average at ILB. Honestly the only area I have maybe some concerns...

Unless he's working specifically at Tackle all offseason, I'd anticipate he's your top reserve lineman at both Guard spots and at RT.

Cool. It's a shoulder. He plays soccer. He's literally not allowed to use his shoulder for anything. The only thing he needs a shoulder for is to push himself up off the ground from the rug burn he suffered when he fell to the ground, untouched, trying to gag on the ref's cock to get a free...

Right, but they're penalties. Not ejections. A red card isn't a penalty. It's an ejection and basically a multi-game suspension.

    The Random Thought Thread

I don't really have a dog in this fight. But as an American, who also has a son who plays competitive Soccer, that red card is precisely the reason why most people in the US think professional soccer players are just massive, massive, massive pussys. Its bad enough that ever two minutes...

lol what math did you use to come up with a 75% probability or a +800 to miss the playoffs, which would be one of the biggest props in NFL history. There's legit super teams with exponentially better rosters than there's who weren't priced that high.

I think London slots in ahead of Flowers for sure, but this also just reinforces the fact that Zay's deal will be in excess of $30M AAV, either with the Ravens or someone else, and I imagine his gtd $ will be in the $90-100M range as well.

Correct, but I'm not wagering on a four game sample size. I'm wagering on a longer one.

No, I debate over a backup QB because I'm trying to win $ off another teams injury misfortunes. And I'm picking the team that has the best odds of still making the playoffs when not factoring in those injuries. I'm saying the betting line is mis-priced (which happens all the time) and...

I agree. You're missing the entire premise though. The concept was based on the fact that the Rams have, by a wide margin, the best price to miss the playoffs. If I think that every team in the league is irrelevant with their backup in, which I largely do (though there's less than you'd think)...

Sure, but he's a rookie. Him playing this year is a total disaster. The Ravens would take their backup situation, today, over the Rams. By a wide margin. And the Ravens have closer to a league-average backup than they do a good one. There's a reason why the Rams were in on the Cousins market...

Seen a lot of sharps taking them at like +350 to miss the playoffs. Basically, they're a Stafford injury away from being irrelevant.
