He was clearly gone and I think we made the right move. If you even look at it from a different angle he could’ve signed with KC next year and been in the same spot but would’ve had a lower 3rd since the 3rd we got from KC this year would be our conditional pick two years from now and would be higher than any conditional 3rd regardless.
wouldn't be nice to take a player in the middle rounds, utilize them at a high level for 3 seasons, then flip them for a high draft pick. Ahhh dreams...

  • The Ravens could have some concern if Jihad Ward does not get enough playing time in Jacksonville, as they took a chance in signing Sammy Watkins to a CFA worthy contract, with the aim that his signing would offset the departure of Ward. However, if that doesn’t work out, Baltimore would see one of their two 4th/3rd round cusp comp picks projected for the departures of Matt Judon and Yannick Ngakoue to disappear.

freakin traders!!!

...remember when Rod Woodson came here? Just saying. I love that AV waited and wants to be on a team that has a chance to do sometihing special over the next 2-3 years. EDC has really positioned us well to do that.

I really feel like there is an Edge FA still on the way and maybe another TE. One of the CB draftees is going to be groomed as a Safety. I was shocked when we didn't draft Moehrig with the second 1st rounder. But we made out like bandits in this draft, I think. To the extent that we addressed the needs for the upcoming couple of years if everything works out............

I'm excited to see his team on the field this year.

I'd really like to see Malik Hooker, if his medicals check out, but not sure we would go that route.

Somehow missed that the Ravens signed UDFA, Ar-Darius Washington, S from TCU. That is a very intriguing catch! A little small, but is always around the ball. Was rated as the #57 overall prospect on PFF's board. Second round Safety talent for nothing. I've been waiting for a long-term move to address the loss of Earl Thomas. Maybe this is it?!

could be and I had a day 2, 3rd round grade on him. Very happy we were able to land him as a priority UDFA. He may be small, but surely doesn't play small and he's a tough dude. Made sparq, due to his strength.

In the coming days/weeks Ben Powers will be traded for a fourth round pick. Remember, you heard it here first folks hahaha.

Assuming we nab a Houston or Ingram or Kerrigan, what do you think our three weakest areas are now?
I'd say TE. If Mark Andrews goes down we have Boyle and Oliver as pass catchers, even though Boyle is more a blocking te. If Oliver pans out, than we should be good.

The saving grace there is, if our OC is worth a shit, he can pivot to use more 3-4 WR sets, since we now all of the sudden have a plethora of perceived talent there. Very few teams in the league have even one exceptional pass catching TE, let alone two, so its extremely difficult to have a lot of depth there. I think our two TEs though are as good as anybodies in the league, though.

Pass rush is still a major ? in my eyes. Bowser isn't an elite edge rusher, and you're still rolling with a couple past-prime veterans and a rookie.

Lack of depth at Safety remains a concern of mine. I don't view our inside linebacking core as great, and we would be in pretty rough shape with a Queen injury, plus I still think we lack depth at Tackle on the Oline as well.

Granted, these are generally good problems to have, because lack of depth being a priority generally means your "starters" are in good shape, which is largely true for most of our units.

As a positional group, I would say linebacker is our biggest weakness right now. We have an aging Dline, also. Front seven may not be as good as we've seen in the past.

probably still EDGE even if we sign one - just a risk-filled group with not a ton of pass rush talent on it even with Houston/ingram/kerrigan - id feel a ton more confident in that group stopping the run but the pass rush i'd be worried about still - but it's not a weakness that i'd expect us to address beyond maybe signing houston/ingram/kerrigan...

swing tackle - at the moment it looks like it's tyre with mekari as the emergency backup - maybe tyre takes a leap and i doubt the ravens add another tackle at this point but it's still a weak depth position group

probably safety - partly covered by the improved depth at DB generally with the 2 corner/safety prospects in the draft and with Washington as a udfa - but there's still no obvious 3rd safety right now - it's possible that by the end of training camp the position feels like a strength but right now i'd say it's still a hole of sorts

Eric be doing shit like this but there’s absolutely no way it happens when the Buffalo game was the last thing he put on tape
