2025 NFL Draft Gameday Thread

What position will the Ravens select with their first pick in the draft?

I want them to draft a safety - just not in the first.

I just like the Eagles approach that early picks should mostly be used on big guys because there's fewer of them in the world.

Another safety kinda gives us another boundary cb with Marlon being able to go outside and Kyle to the slot. Would have no problem with a safety and we have no else if one of them goes down. Additionally Washington only has a year left. Its not at the top of my list but would have no problem with that selection if the value is there.

What round grade do you all have on CJ West?

They were, and it worked out but that's because they'd made it such a glaring hole by sticking too rigidly to the pick-linemen-early formula and they were loaded on both lines.

I don't think you can accuse the Ravens of either.

I'm not saying they should be too rigid. If a player they loves drops, take him. But all things being equal, the lines are where our roster needs most support and it's generally harder to find good big guys later.

It does. We should definitely add a safety. Later. I just think the 2 first round guys are a little over-rated. I don't think Starks play quite matches his reputation and Emmanwori being elevated based on testing baffles me a little.

Safety is a position where the brain matters much more than the athlete. Look at how quickly Hamilton gets to where he needs to be despite the 40 time. I wouldn't like to tie Kyle down to the back end again because our first rounder needs to play a simplified role.

The more I've thought about it the cooler I've gotten on a S in rds 1-3, especially rd. 1. Emmanwori is my #1 AVOID guy, those tweener freaks in rd 1 almost never work out. Starks would only makes sense if the board fell really badly.

Marlon plays better in slot.. we should keep him there. Well atleast he needs to be there most of the time

People love the combine freaks though. I think emmanwori will end up being solid atleast. Love starks more but wish he came down hill willing to make big tackles more often

I'm just saying having versatile players is a waste if you won't use em. I don't want to make an offense focused on Lamar running. That doesn't mean I'm eliminating Lamar runs.

Undersized, really good player but not freakish talent. If I had to put my money on who the Ravens are picking i'd go with him. Value meets need meets availability at 27.

I feel like he just wasn’t a hype name entering the offseason, and media outlets have had a hard time catching up to what the film watchers are seeing. Film shows a slam dunk top 20 kinda edge rusher, all reports suggest he’s a top character guy, he’s gonna go higher than the media says
