We needed a LB to cut this preseason more than we needed Joshua farmerwhy couldn't we have taken farmer... especially this late in the draft
who cares if he doesnt play more than 4 years if there was a medical issue...
Because they do. Everything after round 3 is a total crapshootYou’re right. That’s saying these picks hold the same value as a round and a half later
For the ravens, yeahBecause they do. Everything after round 3 is a total crapshoot
Fucking awful trade terms. We move down 5 spots in the 4th to move up 5 spots in the 6th?
As opposed to not trusting your own evals? They get too confident and over-trust their own evaluations on Day 3. It's annoying
Lots of good players are drafted on Day 3 every year but we won't find them if we don't even care enough to tryBecause they do. Everything after round 3 is a total crapshoot
I guess. Usually the ravens will like trade out of the pick if they have plenty of players rated the same on the board and feel like at least one of the players they like will be available later on. I guess it's a way to make them feel better about their pick selection when there less players the like in certain round isn't availableIt's still a loss though. Even if the grade's the same you still have positions of greater need. Take that rather than make a trade for no gain.
EDC talks a good game about the role of luck in the draft but then he picks on Day 3 as if he has all the answers. As opposed to not trusting your own evals?
There is not really a "general consensus". Its basically at this point down to "who has the most fixable flaws" and that is a complete guess so you just find the best players for your scheme and hope that they can be coached up. Everyone has their own opinions on how much to weigh certain flaws and what is fixable and what is not.EDC talks a good game about the role of luck in the draft but then he picks on Day 3 as if he has all the answers.
Trust your evaluations with a bit of humility and understanding that there's some wisdom and value in the consensus too.
