Why? 5th round and he’s gonna compete for the starting qb spot for the next few years
Having a backup being a (potential) diva with a famous dad that'll be talking shit every week isn't great for a team. Also dumb as hell after taking a QB in the third round. Why did they even draft Gabriel?

I thought Cleveland traded down in the 1st to get draft capital next year from the Jaguars to move up for a better QB prospect. I thought they were learning.

But how can you keep both of these guys if you look to draft a QB high next year? Value of the talent makes sense here, but nothing else does.

I'm late but I do like Buchanan as well. Think the late round LBers aren't getting enough credit and he fit the bill there. Maybe a little earlier than I expected but I'm also still of the opinion that if you like a guy on day 3, just take him.

They are probably hoping that one of the two can be their backup next year as it is not like they will be competing this year and none of the 3 QBs they have besides them are QBs they want next year (though one of them they have to keep).

Off topic but did bored marine get banned lol

I think taking a fifth round flyer on Sanders is fine, even with the Browns having taken Gabriel. They desperately need someone to work out there, so why not throw a dart and see what sticks?

However, taking Sanders so far after Gabriel clearly indicates that they weren't THAT high on Sanders and viewed Gabriel more favorably. That's not a good look for Sanders who thought he was God's gift to football.

I imagine the expectations for him are absolutely in the dirt and there is very little expectation that he'll contribute.

Also, with Watson, Pickett, Flacco, and Gabriel also on the roster with two first round picks next year, I'd imagine his leash is SHORT.

He better fix his attitude and better hope daddy keeps his mouth shut. He's not even remotely safe.

Would love to walk out of this draft with either Brashard Smith or DJ Giddens.

Jimmy Horn jr is my late round draft crush.

Wouldn't mind a double dip at LB with Paul Jr. Pegues, Jaylen Reed, and Neal could be good. Jackson Hawes would be worth grabbing if we want a developmental TE.

But I don’t think that makes sense because you typically want to pair a young QB with a veteran who has experience. That’s going to be a dramatic QB room for no reason now.

I will say, regarding Sanders to the Browns.

You all are talking about the way that the media is talking about him now that he's finally drafted at all.

Imagine the media circus that'll ensue when a QB ahead of him on the depth chart has a bad day.
