i don't want to overreact to special teams and plays in preseason

but Keyon Martin having that kind of a day

kirkwood looking like he might make this team purely on special teams - or at least factor as a PS elevation

And no Lowery yet. Carrying over our conversation from the offseason thread, you'd think he'd be getting some of these slot snaps. I know he's been playing more S but he'd still be playing a nickel role.

Martin is taking what he's getting and doing extremely well with it. Looking like a PS priority for me.

Yes but he failed the 15 yards down the field test. He can hit exactly 60% living on 5-10 yard throws.

watched back the 2nd half of last week's game and he played a lot of both safety positions but not much nickel at all - mostly played single high/centre-fielder type roles

and not playing any special teams

this feels like he's down the depth chart, not like he's being hidden

I'll be curious to see how this one plays out. He's not on a 53 I'd put together but what I'm hearing has me feeling otherwise. Could just be some overreaction. We'll see in a little over a week.
