2026 NFL Draft General Discussion

If it wasn’t for the press conference, I maybe could’ve overlooked the bad interview reports, but seeing the mf in 4k at the podium like that, on top of hearing the bombed interviews, you just KNOW this dude is gonna do some shit to ruin his career. Mf talk like he’s doing a satanic ritual.
I really think he practiced that to try and look cool or someshit man cause its no way lmaoo

I'm taking Ioane and I don't think it's very questionable to me. OL need aside, I feel like he's the best player on the board there relative to the concerns of the other guys - Lemon with his personality/lack of engagement, Tyson and McCoy with their injuries, and Sadiq with his hands.
Safe starter, or a guy with a high ceiling but very real risk/concern?

Considering where this roster is, I’m not swinging for the fences in hopes of a star player, I’m looking at the guy who is almost a lock to start day one and never look back who also happens to fill our biggest need.

Bet this though, he won’t be there at 14.

That’s where I’m at. I’ve also got just as high of a grade of him as I do Tyson and McCoy. Not quite as high on Lemon or Sadiq but at least understand why people would have those guys that high.

Dam you dnt think vega will be there?

I fucking hate pick #14 this year man

What say you?

for me it's this order of priority if these are the options:
Jermod McCoy
Jordyn Tyson
(Akheem Mesidor - on talent this is where he's graded, based on age he probably drops down the order somewhat)
Olaivavega Ioane

I would not take Sadiq anywhere in the first round because this is a loaded and deep TE class and I don’t trust the first round uber athletic TE prospect, it’s quite rare that those guys truly pan out, for every Brock bowers there’s a trio of kyle pitts, Hayden hurst, and Eric Ebron, even Vernon Davis took like 6 years and 3-4 coaches before he started to pan out.

also he's a linear athlete
and he probably wasn't even the best TE on his own college team this season - and hasn't produced the way you'd expect from a top 20 TE prospect

maybe he turns out great, but he'd be a huge buyer's beware type guy for me and i've got him graded in R2

certainly of those guys listed, he's the highest graded "clean" prospect on the board

Let the other teams make a mistake like they did with Hamilton. I think this is a strong possibility that he is our 1st round Draft Pick next month. Plus, we have a coaching staff that will actually utilize him with Minter and Weaver, I think Bain easily could be Defensive Rookie Of The Year with us. 30 years ago Ray Lewis fell to us because teams were skeptical of his height, he wasn't the prototypical height for a Linebacker. Let Bain, ironically also a prospect from Miami fall to us because teams think he has short arms. They will regret it.

And in 3 years it'll be the Pickens debate all over again. Y'all complain about Harbaugh being afraid of dealing with guys and wanting choir boys but when it's draft time you want the same thing.

I would also be with McCoy. What is his health like. Is he doing everything at his Pro day ?

If he is good to go and his medicals check out I would turn the card in for him at 14. Never have too many good corners.

Then it would be Vega, but I would be cool to trade back either way.

If he is our first round pick I will eat my hat.

Unless we trade in to the top 10. We wont be getting him.
