2026 NFL Draft General Discussion

Lemon is pretty good, do you think though he’s better than Zay? Or that we could let Zay walk if we get Lemon? I feel like he does a lot similar to Zay.

Downs to NYG would make a lot of sense if Harbaugh wants to replicate his own Hamilton.

i think lemon's more like amon-ra st brown or golden tate - way more physical than zay - physical and competitive blocker, strong at the catch-point, holds up vs press (albeit doesn't dominate press outside)

caleb downs should be going that high
whether he does is a different matter

I like Lemon, but I was more so referencing who was picked after him/who we passed up…

Do you have Lemon ranked higher than Arvell?
With Arvell, I think my biggest concern is he doesn't do anything (and yes, I am generalizing) by himself. By that I mean he rushes and does a good job but it's mostly speed and being done from space or some stunt, misdirection, or delayed blitz. He wins from the edge, but usually those are a result of him being schemed to win where he rushes from a full speed rush. He isn't in a 3 point stance winning, and will need to win from a 2pt stance.

I can see the Amon-ra comparison. He is definitely stronger than Zay, as you see him shake guys off of him like he is a grown man going against school yard kids.

yeah for sure i've got Lemon over Reese
got reese in the next group - still a 1st round type guy but not a high first round grade guy

i think people are projecting arvell to the edge too much
he's not really an edge rusher even when he's rushing off the edge in college - he's just bigger and faster and better than the guy across from him
a lot of his rush opportunities are like you say delayed blitzes or QB spy stuff - don't think i've seen him use a single actual edge rush move lol

i think his film says his best position is LB - but if that's the case, he's not even the best LB on his team in this class

i don't see him the way i saw jalon walker (in that micah parsons role)

i think the downside if Lemon's the guy here is that some of the ways you might use those guys or line them up might be similar
but that's where Lemon being a modern day slot (i.e. he'll get stuck in as a blocker on the edge) really helps you differentiate their roles within the offence - you get to rotate those guys as the slot and the "z" and you maybe have to stick Bate more consistently outside as the "x"

albeit that's a fairly basic way to think about WRs when that's not really their use anymore

i think if Bate's your WR3 you feel good about this WR corps, if he's your WR2 you're not feeling as confident in the group for whatever reason (availability, consistency)

I agree with you, after really watching him, I still think he's good but he's not someone I am taking at 14.

i might take him at 14 but he'd be much closer to the bottom of my wish list than the current consensus would suggest

like people that size aren't supposed to move like that and he's surprisingly developed at LB already despite the inexperience

I also like the guy from georgia state. He also like 6”3 run good routes and really good hands. Great redzone threat too. He may need work with his release though, looks like he does waaaaay to much

going back to hurst

just watched him and he's got a ton of juice
a bit lanky but he's explosive and super fluid for a guy that tall

really interested to see how he goes at the senior bowl vs a step up in competition

but he definitely did what you'd want to see from a G5 guy, which is that he clearly dominated the level of competition he was playing against

the number of underclassmen that have either not declared or who declared and have now retracted is so frustrating

really need the NCAA to sort out their season because this is ridiculous - we're coming up to the senior bowl and we've still got 2 teams playing, a legal issue about a player's eligibility and players declaring for the draft and then entering the transfer portal because the portal's open 2 days beyond the declaration deadline

college football is fucked right now and it seems like there's some really easy fixes:
start the playoffs a week earlier
play the playoffs every saturday
don't open the transfer portal until after the playoffs finish - and close the portal on the same day as the draft declaration deadline
remove buyouts from coaches contracts
agents for college players must be licensed and regulated

Can Rosengarten play Guard? I'm curious if we look at a Left Tackle who can immediately start at Right Tackle but take over when Stanley retires. I would love to draft Francis Mauigoa from Miami but I'm guessing he's definitely top 5 or 10.

Can someone make an AI video of him smoking a bong so he drops to 14?

I think you would just play them at LG instead of moving Rosengarten. I think an ideal lineup would be Jones at RG and a new LG who could swing to LT

The 2026 NFL Draft is already looking really interesting. There are a lot of talented players to keep an eye on, and it’s fun to see how different teams might build for the future. I like how this draft class seems deep at several positions, which should help a lot of franchises. It’ll be exciting to watch how everything plays out as we get closer to draft day.

So, I am a very new Ravens fan and I have a question. This draft seems to me to be lining up perfectly with fit, need, talent and draft position to get a damn good DT in the draft. But I see a lot of talk about Madubuike and his injury. So:
1. I know we don’t have all the info and updates, but is the assumption he won’t be able to play anymore?
2. If he can play, is DT still much of a need?

i think people have been assuming he won't be playing - i'm more hopeful
regardless i think the assumption is that whether he plays or not, they will be building the team with his potential absence in mind

but i dont know that i agree that the draft is lining up well at all with a DT need
there's a lot of guys who project as nose tackles in this group which aren't a great skillset replacement for madubuike - not to say they wouldnt help the team but if we're looking for a madubuike replacement there's maybe only 1-2 guys with that skillset and i wouldn't say either of them are slam-dunk prospects

Still super early but i looked at free agency list for this offseason and im convinced we going oline first rnd! With the 14th pick, i wish we go skill position but as of now free agency doesnt look as well! Pass rusher or tyson would be great but im not sure. Is there any quentin nelson type guys in the draft lol

i would love to go OL at 14
but i dont think there's any elite guys - and i reckon other teams will reach on some of these OL as well
