2026 NFL Draft General Discussion

on first look don't think that's a bad comp
he actually reminded me a bit of charles cross and christian darrisaw (albeit obviously on the other side)
I see that, definitely with the movement and the precision. I was super high on both coming out but darrisaw much more, because cross didn’t have nearly as much of the bully/finisher mentality that I like to see.

i think Fano's a tackle for sure - can probably slide inside
i think mauigoa is probably best suited to guard
pregnon is a guard through and through

those are also my top 3 OL though - i've just got mauigoa and pregnon the other way round (but the same preliminary grade so we're just splitting hairs this early)

agree on olaivavega - like how flexible he is in his lower half but i also see too many lost reps and not enough dominant ones to make up for it
Alright cool so I’m less likely to doubt myself on ioane lol, still see so many outlets have him highly touted and I’m just not seeing it and I’ve probably watched more on him than anyone just trying to find “it” on his film.

Fano absolutely can play tackle and for his financial sake probably should, but I really like him as a guard as well and think his ceiling could be incredibly high there, like top 3 in the league kinda ceiling

i don't have a problem seeing vega as a good prospect with a pretty high ceiling
but yeah i don't agree with the consensus that he's this surefire first rounder type prospect at guard - to me he looks more like a 2nd round type of prospect

Tomorrow's game between Oregon and Texas Tech, if everyone plays, is a great way to scout prospects.
The Oregon offensive line (World, Pregnon, Laloulu) versus the Texas front seven (Hunter, Bailey, Heights, Jacob Rodriguez) is going to be a real nail-biter. Also, keep an eye on the Oregon defensive line, especially Washington and Bear

For sure. Washington has a crazy ceiling but I’ve struggled to find watchable film on him, I can’t watch defensive film without the video flagging the player before the snap so I can’t say for sure.

Pregnon is my dude though. If we make the playoffs and are picking in the 20s and he’s available, I’m very cool with taking him. Think he’s a slam dunk day one starter

Laloulu is going back to school i'm pretty sure

but yeah hunter vs pregnon should tell you something about both
i think bailey and height have got a lot more to lose vs world - think they will be expected to beat him

and bain (and mesidor) showed last night what it looks like to be a dominant pass rusher

washington is one of my favourites on the DL for sure - think bear alexander is going back to college

the film situation this year has been worse than usual

I usually use offense vs. defense; it gives me a better overview.
In this case, I put Indiana OL vs Oregon which is a good matchup. Indiana's Lt and C look good too.
And Indiana's two interior defensive linemen are very good, I think they're freshmen

the two most undervalued guys i've graded so far (i.e. my grades are much higher than consensus atm):
Emmanuel Pregnon

Akheem Mesidor

in both cases i have a feeling they've been artificially dropped from what their film grade says they should be because they're both older prospects (both going to be 25 year old rookies) - the concern would be about their 2nd contracts... but ill be honest, if those guys are going to help you over the next 4-5 years, that's more important to me right now in our window than worrying about whether we extend them when their 29 years old...

the most overvalued guys for me of the purported top guys:
Keldric Faulk
(young, awesome traits and great edge setter, but doesn't consistently win as a pass rusher right now and that's not someone i can put a 1st round grade on, let alone the top 10 grade i've been seeing everywhere - to me late 1st is the earliest grade i can put on someone who's pass rush is complete projection

Kadyn Proctor
(this guy's got great traits, but i dont he's not going to survive at tackle at his weight - i'd project him to move inside but then i worry about his foot quickness inside - so for me he's more of a 2nd rounder than the 1st round tackle grades i've been seeing on him)

a few other guys im lower on than consensus right now based on first watches:
Peter Woods
TJ Parker
Caleb Lomu
Olaivaviega Ioane
Jeremiyah Love
Carnell Tate
Makai Lemon

Haven’t watched mesidor at all, otherwise I fully agree with everything said here, except I am pretty high on proctor. In the 20s I’m cool with him

mesidor is the most fun ive had watching tape so far
Have you watched Jonah Coleman yet? He’s a fun rb to think about with Lamar. Supremely powerful back, no gimmicks or special needs to call plays for, just a guy you can hand off to for 30 carries and he can probably give you a good chance to win.

not yet

only done the 2 notre dame RBs

gonna be really funny when the best guys on the board at 14 are a combination of:

Caleb Downs, S
Sonny Styles, LB
Jermod McCoy, CB (didn't play in 2025 due to injury)

we're gonna end up with a great player who the fans hate that we drafted

david bailey, reuben bain, spencer fano are not going to be available i reckon

.
Nothing will matter if Harbaugh is still in charge.

If there are no dogs, the house is unprotected, and Harbaugh likes poodles.

We need alpha dogs that inspire fear, not poodles that just bark and wear colorful clothes
