2026 NFL Draft General Discussion

Really been enjoying the discourse between Ravens fans regarding Vega Ioane. Seems to divide opinion a bit in terms of value.

I personally wouldn't be taking him at 14, but I wouldn't be completely mad if we did because he is a rock in pass pro.

Yeah I don't love what I've seen (might need to give him a second chance) but every OL expert on twitter seems to absolutely love him and that makes it easier to swallow for me.
If you told me right now he'll be Tyler Booker next year I'm pickung him at 14 no questions asked.

he's awesome in pass pro albeit quicker guys can get on his edge a bit

it's the run blocking stuff where he's got limitations - he's certainly got some mobility in space but i've got significant questions about whether he has the ability to consistently succeed on reach and scoop blocks or running the track into L2 which is why i'm higher on emmanuel pregnon, personally

i think he's a better prospect than tyler booker for sure but i was also lower on booker last year

To me this is more of a scheme thing than anything else.
If you asked Tate to run a million Digs I'm convinced he'll do it at a very high level. If you ask Tyson to separate on a deep route he absolutely can't.
If Tate can separate on the most basic routes he won't have trouble killing guys on man beaters.
The next questions is Does he have the toughness to take the beating, but then again Tyson has been beat up so his own resistance has to be a question mark as well.
I'm cool on Tyson if he's the pick at 14 but he's pretty clearly the 3rd best in the class imo.

what makes you think tyson can't separate vertically?

tate is an elite vertical winner because he's got awesome route stems, long-strides, fluid movement and great ball-tracking and hands

tyson also has great ball-tracking, late hands and vertical speed

i still think tate is awesome but i just think tyson is a more complete receiver (and that includes winning vertically and on deep routes)

I love Pregnon. Not impossible he makes it to us in round 2 but seems unlikely ? Need a run on receivers and corners or something at the start of the 2nd

with pregnon, i wouldn't call it likely but it's certainly possible given he's going to turn 25 years old during his rookie season

What do you do at this point lmao.. trade back?

Downs is arguably the best talent in the draft. I’d find it really hard not to take him.

certainly one of the safest prospects
Downs is a guy I would hate to get due to positional value but it would be hard not to love the pick. We always panic fi Hamilton goes down. With Downs you have both insurance and another dynamic weapon on defense

we better take Downs if he’s there at 14 lol

Doesnt EDC talk to SSsr about WR prospects during draft szn? Hmmmm

This draft seems strange to me for the Ravens. You listen to Doyle and Minter, and then the drafters give us Ioane... If we're talking about explosive play, I don't see Ioane there. I imagine someone who can easily reach the second level, and I don't think he's that type of player.

And I feel like Minter's and Decosta's arguments don't align. It's all a mystery to me

What doesn’t align between Minter and Decosta?

I would always prefer a guard who offers more in the run game than he does, but with the state of our roster, if we can’t address the iOL in FA, then I’d be absolutely satisfied with him at 14. It’s just one of those years where I’d be okay with putting needs first so long as that need is OL, and what he would offer in protecting our franchise qb I could justify at 14.

My personal opinion is that protecting your qb is so important that the value scale can shift heavily, guards aren’t highly valued in the draft but when your G tandem is shit then suddenly you see how much value they bring and you should address it.

Yeah I’m not convinced Tate is strictly a vertical threat, I just think that’s where OSU felt he paid the biggest dividends to the scoreboard and so they called their offense accordingly

God I hate this so bad. You’re right. But I fucking hate it. Another safety would feel so trash.
