2026 NFL Draft General Discussion

I think it’s dealers choice of a bunch of 2nd round-ish prospects by time you get to the middle of round 1

i dont think he's even a 2nd round level prospect tbf

some of the write ups on Boston make zero sense to me
he's stiff, he might be slow and he doesn't separate

pro day 40 today should clarify hopefully

I don't disagree. Feels kinda Hakeem Butler-ish as far as where people think he's going to go vs. where he may actually go. Mostly just saying that once you get to the late teens, you're probably not getting great value relative to the grades.

for sure
i've got 13 guys with 1st round grades
there's another group of guys that i can see teams having big grades on as well who i don't or who have been billed as top guys in media:
Fernando Mendoza
Olaivavega Ioane
Kenyon Sadiq
David Bailey
Monroe Freeling
Makai Lemon
Peter Woods

which still leaves you with 20 guys at most

but my third tier of players (late 1st-early 2nd round type grades) - has 35 guys in it right now and Denzel Boston's nowhere near it

and to come back around on denzel boston

he ducked the 40 today on the advice of his agent
(also didnt do the broad jump)

to me that tells me he's slow
if it's anywhere in the 4.5s he should run

dane brugler has basically said that if guys don't run at all, teams are penalising and assuming a slow time (especially given they've got the GPS)

but if this guy's not explosive, slow and doesn't separate on film then he's relying on size, ball skills and fluid movements at his size - that's not nothing, but it's not a 1st or even 2nd round type skillset - isn't this just keon coleman all over again (but even less explosive...) and at least coleman put that 4.61 time out there

people keep saying courtland sutton but sutton was fast enough, had a quick 10 yard split, great broad jump and elite 3 cone - the thing that made sutton riskier, was his catch technique

If it wasnt for me seeing boston in some mock drafts, id think he was a 4th rnd pick. Id actually take ted hurst over him based off just wr skillset

Dam you dont like stowers? I just watxhed some of him last night and he looks good.. i also feel like it depends on whats there at our pick in rnd 2.. i can see us grabbing 2 olinemen in first 3 rounds
he's a TE who's undersized and can't block at all

so you're basically drafting him to be a big slot... but he's not good enough decelerating and changing direction to project to winning at the breakpoint consistently vs DBs

would take him in R3 because of how explosive he is linearly - i'd think of him a bit like jonnu smith
