2026 NFL Draft General Discussion

For whatever it’s worth, seems like a non issue. Even the family of the deceased said it was an unfortunate accident

was going to come and post it but i read it and i'll be honest this does not seem like an issue (with regards to assessing Bain's character/propensity for bad off field decision making)

obviously there's a public interest here to justify the story but it does feel like connolly has sensationalised this unnecessarily and apparently against the expressed wishes of the family

Good, believable targets for each round, imo:

Round 1:
Fano, Vega, or McCoy

Round 2:
Chris Johnson, CB
Emmanuel Pregnon, G
Keylan Rutledge, G
AJ Haulcy, S

Round 3:
Connor Lew, C
Logan Jones, C
Bud Clark, S
Bryce Lance, WR
Joshua Joseph, Edge
Max Klare, TE

Round 4:
Jake Slaughter, C
Matt Gulben, C
Jalen Farmer, G
Kaleb Proctor, DL
Sam Roush, TE
Julian Neal, CB

only reason i didnt have connor lew on my list is because he's likely redshirting his rookie year after only tearing his ACL in October
he's basically guaranteed to miss the whole offseason given a normal recovery time and idk that the ravens do that two years in a row unless he slips to day 3

Yeah, if he really is set to miss a whole season that would definitely push him a lot further down. If we get really lucky he can slip to the 5th round and he can be the double dip after getting one earlier.

technically he wouldnt necessarily miss the whole season
but functionally he will as a rookie missing most of the offseason at best

And we just saw how that worked with Emery Jones - maybe some potential but was never able to get ready enough to be trusted to play meaningful snaps

And we just saw how that worked with Emery Jones - maybe some potential but was never able to get ready enough to be trusted to play meaningful snaps

which is why i dont think the ravens would do that
obviously with emery it didn't play out this way, but they at least thought they had incumbents worth starting if he wasnt ready

this year you can't be happy with just corey bullock and hope Lew manages to somehow steal that job mid-season - if bullock's in a real competition and wins it, that's different, but if bullock is just handed the starting job with the hope that a rookie overtakes him later would be bad process

and this is coming as someone who likes corey bullock

and all this especially because there's other C options likely available in the same range

now if you've got other plans to bolster the C competition and then you supplement it with Lew on day 3 (if he falls because of his availability) then that's a bonus (more of a vorhees situation where you might steal a guy on day 3 who has a clearer path to develop into a starter early than most day 3 OL)

this is where i'm at
not saying we can't draft an upgrade for RG but there is no immediate need to draft a G or a C in R1 just to tick off a need
there are IOL available in the first 3 rounds - and i would say that maybe 20+ of the top 100 in this class are OL...

if Vega is BPA then so be it
if Fano is BPA then so be it
if Mauigoa is somehow available and is BPA then so be it
if they love Proctor and he's BPA then so be it

but don't be shocked if at 14 it's McCoy or Tyson (as long as the medicals check out on those two) or Concepcion (please) or Lemon or even... Mesidor (again as long as medicals check and they're happy with the older prospect)

i will be very surprised if we don't have a single OL in the first 4 picks though

Where is ted hurst? Possibly a version of tee higgins but runs some decent routes

idk if i believe we have our two starting guards already. Has emory played/showed enough for us to believe in him? Biscotti already said we counted on guys to step up( vorhees and faalele) and they didnt so would we risk that again? I guess we can still grab one or two in 2nd or 3rd round though.

If we do have our guards already, that would be nice. Wouldnt mind mccoy but i still dont believe lemon is 14th pick worthy..

not saying that emery has to be the RG starter
just saying that it's not so big of a hole that we're going to eschew other players at other positions just because we "need" a guard

Its going to be McCoy I think. That's fine by me.
