I just watched McCoy again for the first time in a while and yeah, he’s a monster, but man it don’t feel right drafting a guy at 14 who hasn’t played since 2024Its going to be McCoy I think. That's fine by me.

The whole draft process is wild when you think about it. All of these shenanigans and then you can tell a kid that grew up and spent his whole life in Florida that he has to go live in Green Bay for 4-5 years now. That Bain news dump right before the draft is dirty. You know a team did that to make him slide a bit to them. Chess.

I may be alone, but I think McCoy just needed that additional year to solidify that this is who he is. Think there are still some things - mostly mental (zone coverage pass off, disciplined eyes, a little bit of panic/grabbiness, etc.) - that really could have developed with another season on the field. Feel like there's a strong chance for him to be an impact player, but I do think he's going to have to do some additional learning at the NFL level and the initial results may not fully be there.i get that we haven't seen him play football since the end of the 24 season...
but unless there are complications with his recovery (which i wouldn't expect given we're now over 12 months removed from the injury), his CB tape from 2024 is the closest in quality to the stingley tape i've seen and easily the best DB tape in the class
for me, if he's there, and tbh i don't think he will be, he's a home run pick at 14 - not just thinking about 2026, but also thinking about 2027 and beyond...
Fuck off im retiring November of my rookie yearThe whole draft process is wild when you think about it. All of these shenanigans and then you can tell a kid that grew up and spent his whole life in Florida that he has to go live in Green Bay for 4-5 years now.
My exact concern. I typically like to see progress from year to year from a prospect to show that they are on an upward trajectory, and indicating that they will take to coaching at the next level.I may be alone, but I think McCoy just needed that additional year to solidify that this is who he is. And for what it's worth, I have no problems with taking him either. I think the tape shows that there's a decently high likelihood that he becomes a very good player. That doesn't mean there aren't still some issues that being on the field may or may not have improved, and thus, a certain level of risk there. My exact concern. One year of production followed by an injury just worries me and it’s not something I can ignore. Doesn’t mean I don’t want the player, but it’s too big a thing for me to just look past

this would certainly change things
Iman Marshall wasn’t picked 14th overall lolThe difference is that with McCoy you won't spend as much money, not even two first-round picks.
If he can play in the short term and gives me two or three good years, he's a better deal than Iman Marshall, to name just one of many
Obviously. Like absolute by far best case. This would be the best case scenario for us.
