Next Up: vs Browns

You would hope Orr would know Flacco's tendencies of all people. Cover 2 and get some interceptions. That has always been Joe Flacco's bane. Not sure if he has overcome it, but when he was here it is how CIN always beat us.
Yep. He NEVER played well in Cincy. Had a couple of good performances at home, but yeah Marvin Lewis gave our offense plenty of fits.

As far as I'm concerned, Todd Monken has a job for as long as he wants. If we can score 40+ a game, his job security is pretty high. We just need to tighten things up in the 4th quarter. By that I mean the run game where we slowly wear out the defense in the 4th quarter and kill off more game clock. I think that's what ultimately killed us in Buffalo, we scored too fast when we needed to slow down a bit and chew more clock in the second half. Now if this defense lets Joe Flacco and the Browns score more than 40 points and we lose again........ Zach Orr needs to be fired before the Lions game, and Harbaugh is going to have lot more explaining to do.

if you never stop scoring, they can't catch up
no reason not to stay aggressive when you have lamar and this receiving group - that doesn't mean don't run the ball, but it also doesn't mean you have to only run the ball or go to your 4-minute offence the whole time

We ignored the TEs and for good reason, their secondary was getting smoked all night, late in the game would’ve been a really nice time to run some play action targeting the intermediate, you have to think they had adjusted for zay by then, but there’s still bate, and then kolar would’ve been a perfect target to play off of the play fake.

They clearly reached a point where they refused to let us run the ball. I guess you still wanna run the ball there and impose your will etc. but hopefully they learned some lessons about our OL and situational play calling, we just don’t have an OL that allows you to impose your will against a high end loaded front when they are 100% keying in on the run

we dont have any maulers on the OL at all which is fine
but then we shouldn't expect to impose our will on other teams at the point of attack (especially without pat ricard)

Coming off of the 6 for 13 performance last year, I hope he remains this overconfident.

Kyle Shanahan is still being killed for this mentality... granted I'm not the biggest Harbaugh guy the fact this keeps happening under him is absurd. It's bad luck and terrible situational awareness colliding at the worst possible times. At this point it feels like John is tightening up in these scenarios and the team follows.

He better tf not. Especially after he made these comments. Though it's interesting he makes these comments because I recall him celebrating the win over the Cowboys last season despite almost choking THAT game away. I remember Lamar telling him to chill tf out bruh because we just won our first game. All I know is that this defense is either have an A+ performance or more of the same from this past Sunday. No in between

Whats the implication of Marlon's comments? That there is at least one if not more Marcus Williams' this year?
Sounds like it to some extent. Play the play call and don’t freelance is basically what he said.

I don’t say it to single guys out because it’s hard to know what the call is, but the tape showed Wiggins playing some questionable zones.

So hopefully they all go for the team glory and not the individual glory this weekend.

I hope that's true. Because that sounds highly correctable

Wasn't Wiggins involved in some similar crap early last season?

Maybe I'm bugging but why does it looks like we struggle so mightily in zone? The drops don't look natural over the middle and safeties seem to be in no man's land. Like instead understanding the spacing and offensive set they just drop to where it feels like they're told to regardless.

Harbs is getting a ton load of national media criticism I’ve never seen before, not to this extent.
He leads the league in 4th quarter meltdowns.

Will he be on the hot seat this year ? Time will tell.
