We're actually just not a good team. Have every component to be good but the WHOLE team just doesn't show up

I'm beating a dead horse here, but please remember how god-awful we looked the first couple of weeks last year, and how awful the defense looked for the entire first half of the season.

With the limitations we put in place during the preseason, it takes a while for things to gel.

It gets you positive plays now, and softens the front for the rest of the game so maybe you actually can run.

If a defense is showing you “I’ll lose against the pass but you are NOT running the ball” you don’t need to keep forcing the run to convince them lol, they’re not being subtle about it at all.
