The Andrews, the Defense, and the Blocking

what i dont get is just how bad this defence is...
there are so many all-pros/pro bowlers and high round picks on this defence, guys who were great before mike macdonald or at other teams

michael pierce, chris board, malik harrison, brandon stephens and exiled marcus williams can't be the key pieces that were holding this defence together

I could be wrong but i have noticed less penalties on us this year. Hump cant help it but everyone else seems to be doing a pretty decent job.

“ i saw an opp and took a shot” -aidan on his forced fumble…… man hell naw, they making a mockery out of us now.. something gotta change lol

Shit idk! Idk Who would recommend a coach with no experience to go against the best. Idk if they didnt want zach to leave or what but making him dc with basically no experience was a crazy move to me. Orr mustve lied and said he was gonna replicate macdonald scheme or something lol.
It seems like it was a panic move. They were leaning Dennard Wilson. Then Macdonald got the job and was going to take Orr with him as DC, but obviously he wouldn't have had the same responsibilities there with MM at the helm. They didn't want to lose him and made the choice to promote him.

I say all this and I do not think Orr is the whole problem, but he's part of it. I just don't know that any DC is going to be successful when your front 7 gets absolutely dominated like that. His schemed pressure blitz calls were atrocious though.

And it can't be that Madubuike is the key piece that makes it all go but maybe it actually is...

They were bad vs Buffalo too. And in a different way. Being ok against geriatric Flacco is not reflective of anything
You know me at this point... I'm a firm believer in players shouldering most of the blame. And I'm going to put it on the players last night because you ain't winning shit if you lose as many battles in the trenches as we did.

I put that Bills game largely on coaching though. We had them pretty contained for a good portion of the game. They adjusted. We did not.

It just looks like a team that is going to live and die by the push they get up front. You can invest all of the money you want into the secondary, but they're gonna look like shit if they have to cover for 3 minutes every play.

i really think that maybe it is
he's a major force multiplier on the inside

mike green's going to have to grow up fast on the EDGE if we want to see a pass rush without nnamdi (and KVN)

i know the OL and DL we might have been interested in (outside of Josh Simmons) this offseason went ahead of us

and malaki starks is fine so far

but i think i'd be really excited about Derrick Harmon, Walter Nolen, Grey Zabel, Donovan Jackson and what one of them could do in either trench for us...

And that's what kinda sucks... it looks like we have a good draft class. A bulk of those guys are contributing off the bat which is nice. But it still feels like a little gut punch to watch Philly bully their way to a SB win and we follow that up by opting to really not touch the starting OL at all (maybe a healthy Emery Jones changes this) and only add Peebles to the iDL.

surprisingly, i think we are gonna have a turn around. I mean we have to. Gonna be tough though with zero pass rush but its possible.. also, travis jones ass

Mads, KVN , Ricard, likely is bad foursome to miss v.s Detroit. Key guys for physical games. But yeah it's so rare for baltimore to actually get beat like that.

Anyways it just seems like the entire regular season doesn't matter this year. The Ravens will coast to NFC North title because rest of division is ASS. no way we catch Buffalo for 1 seed but we knew that after week 1. so really 12-5 or 13-4 or even 11-5 is all just about an extra divisional rd HF game instead of travelling to Los angeles or indy (who cares).

wake me up when playoffs start.
I am a bit concerned about the Chargers given how our run defense has looked and they have a strong defense of their own. I think they match up well against us.
