The Injuries, the Defense and the Offense (and the Special Teams)

How many times have we seen this team commit a mistake and the next play they go backwards. They can't overcome it. It just piles on and snowballs. This team has been mentally soft for a very very long time. Unfortunately, I think this is the culture created by Harbaugh. We need a change and it's been past due.

The one silver lining I can pull out of this... I feel like we'd all be somewhat pleased had we gone 2-2 out of this stretch without the benefit of hindsight and knowing how we got here. We're still only 4 games into the season and we're entering a stretch of easier (on paper) teams. Need to go out and beat them of course, but there's still plenty of time and opportunity to turn this thing around.

I’ve been a fan of this team over 20 years and I don’t think I’ve ever felt so low towards this team. Maybe the Cundiff/Evans loss to New England compares. Idk. I expected a loss today tbh but the injuries, defense and effort really suck. Not sure how things don’t change real soon
The Cundiff loss was terrible but that team had fight !
This team has no fight and quit on their coach who quit on them when he kicked that field goal like a fucking moron.

This is worse

my expectations were pretty low going in
somehow they were not met

I’m thinking on Monday that Orr will be the sacrificial lamb firing when Harbaugh should be fired. Actually both should be.

i dont know that it's going to happen in-season, but if something doesn't change i could definitely see this heading towards an inevitable parting of ways at the end of the season
You said it later in another comment, but 2015 we had a similar season and were bit by injuries. Despite all of that, we never saw the team “play” like they did today. This Ravens team is soft. They’re a bunch of bitches who can’t adjust when they lose. That includes the coaching staff until proven otherwise.

I’m not blaming the coaches for bad player execution. What I do place on the coaching staff as far as blame is the complete inability to adjust, get the players motivated and focused, and for players not knowing what to do. The Defense especially is a problem. Nobody is as hard on the Offense. I think that’s a symptom of a few things, but most importantly the financial investment in our Defense compared to the Offense. With how much we’ve spent, the Defense should be world better.

Honestly, if Orr is fired Monday I'd atleast tune in to watch the remainder of the season even with Harbaugh as the HC. But if both of them remain then I'm done, I can spend my time supporting other teams or playing video games

I’m a chargers fan now. I rather root for the better Harbaugh. Plus I might see more Madison Beer content. Megan Fox 2.0

Losing Lamar Jackson, Ronnie Stanley, Roquan Smith, Marlon Humphrey, and Nate Wiggins to some semblance of injury in the same game is insane bad luck though. You've probably got 10 "stars" on this team and you lost half in one fell swoop.

The Defense actually come out playing well to start the game. The Offense played well to start the game. They give you hope early and look good. The problem is when this Ravens team gets punched in the mouth, they recoil and do not adjust. That is the identity of this team so far this year.
I'd argue that this has been the identity of this team for years. Definitely since 2023. 2022, we simply didn't have the weapons on offense to do much. 2021, we didn't have the OL or RBs to do anything.
