Next Up: vs Rams

Idk why its taken us so long to play more man anyway when we have been getting killed in this miscommunication zone of his
My only guess is that there was fear about how (a) Alexander played in man in week 1 even though he clearly was not football ready and (b) how Marlon got gashed in week 3. It's not like the man reps have been pretty either but at least guys know their responsibilities.

With the investment made in the secondary, you gotta let guys win or lose their matchups and apply your scheme to the defensive front where investment has been minimal, period.

Let the guys you pay to win, win. If they lose, that’s a better hill to die on.

it just feels like they're being conservative and scared

this graph kind of fits the same mould (albeit this is offensive)

feels like a reflection of this team being terrified of losing and almost by playing scared, make it happen

Sounds like you should expect to see more man coverage this weekend. Sounds like they know they can't exist in this death by a thousand papercuts, playing 549 defensive snaps a game situation. Play man and if a big play happens, a big play happens. Gets the defense off the field at least.

Think you're going to see some fairly extensive lineup changes too.

Dude. My 12 year old son was calling for man coverage last week. Sad it took this long to get out of that heavy terrible zone we have been playing. I guess better late than never

No Lamar, Ricard, Roquan, Marlon, or Chidobe at practice today. I know they feel confident most if not all of those guys will be options after the bye though.

Looking good for Hamilton and Stanley to be back this week.

Interesting that we've heard nothing on Awuzie.

I've heard he's a similar boat to all of the other guys essentially - minor soft tissue injury (relatively speaking) that is going to take 2-3 weeks.

Marlon is the one that may be a week longer on paper, but they're all on a fairly similar timeline at this point.

I’m more excited to watch the Bengals this week than the Ravens. Sad. What Cooper Rush and this line and defense can do to you

Same shit, different packaging. Wouldn't make any difference on the final scoreboard.
Since we’re not tanking the season, obviously trying to make some moves to salvage it, then maybe read option all fckn day with Huntley and Henry is the only chance.

Because I don’t think cooper rush gives us a chance

I'd rather the guy that can at least push the ball downfield, especially as we're struggling to run the ball currently. Don't think Huntley is dynamic enough at this point of his career for anyone to treat him as a real threat in the run game. Feels like that could shut us down easily.

I don't love either option though.
