Next Up: vs Bears

i wanted rousseau even less tbf
if i remember correctly, i think it was reported that the ravens liked rousseau and oweh about evenly which is why they went and picked Bate ahead of both of them because they were pretty confident one of the two would fall in their lap

and it's not like rousseau's been amazing - he's a bit like george karlaftis, both good but not great EDGEs
I thought Oweh and Rousseau were similar except Oweh was higher risk. Rousseau at least showed he could put up numbers and get sacks. I agree with you, though, that they are similar players but I think Rousseau has been the better pro, marginally.

Either way, Barmore was a better pick IMHO and addressed an actual need at DL. I'm hoping we turn around our Edge drafting.

I have a feeling too. This game should be telling. If we come out with a new OL lineup, and a new offensive philosophy(new guards and running a lot of wide zone and moving pockets) and play Likely and Hop in every single red zone snap(because why tf wouldn’t you?) I think we win easily and go on a tear

And of course if the fucking defense figures it out and just becomes average
Sounds like Pat is going to play. I think the Bears 28th ranked run D is in deep pooh.

Oweh was the NFL COMBINE CHAMPION !!! WITH ZERO SACKS his senior year.

I knew he would be a dud.

Tonight I think he plays .He will have ZERO sacks!
Sliver of hope I had was he compared to Danielle Hunter. I hated that Oweh pick

I'll take good given what we've had lately. I think a good edge rusher would've made a big difference. I liked the Oweh pick at the time to. It sucks that it didn't work out but I think we just need to gamble more on actual production in general.

So looks like Lamar practiced again albeit at a similar rate to yesterday.
I think Lamar will play, just a bit concern how he will look coming back from injury. I do think he's light years better then what we have currently no matter what the condition is anyways.

Without question. If we were 5-1, I wouldn't be as stressed (still would be) and get him ready for the TNF game. But every game is a must-win at this point. If he plays, I'm gonna be nervous with every time he drops back to pass. I don't have that much faith in the OL and is he gonna hold on to the ball too long.

Yerah i'm nervous too. If he can't go then understandable but we're staring 1-6 right in the face if Lamar is not playing. The Ravens would have to win 10 straight at that point.

With Oweh, you could have traded up for Rousseau. He was taken the pick before our pick. I wasn't a fan of Oweh only saw potential but decent risk in a low floor.
Fans thought he was gonna be like danielle hunter cause of sack production in college lol.. mans was ass as a rusher from the start

i just thought rousseau was a an inside move merchant and not particularly refined
thought he was too lanky and thin to hold up at the position and didnt think his athleticism would translate when he filled out his body more

i do think it's notable (with regards to edge drafting) that the chiefs and bills have also struggled to find difference makers on the edge - those 2 and the ravens have consistently picked in the 20s at the earliest and it's tough to find EDGEs there that turn into superstars - chiefs got karlaftis, bills got rousseau, ravens got oweh, the first two have signed big deals but look more like complementary starters rather than legitimate playmakers and oweh's been traded away to the chargers

I still don't think much of Huntley, but Harbaugh announced him as QB2 and the starter pending Lamar. Glad they're admitting the mistake on Rush. He's just been awful.

Was a full participant today. I would think that he should be good to go for Sunday barring any setbacks, @Simba ?
Seems like a good sign but who knows. That’s exactly how they want it.

But this is as must win as it gets. Even a non-100% Lamar is a better option than the alternatives. If he’s good enough to play, he’ll be out there.
