2019: Week 3 Discussion Thread (Other Teams)

Hall of Famer
Titans @ Jaguars: Tennessee and Jacksonville failed to come up with wins against the Colts and Texans on Sunday looking for some division redemption Thursday Night in Jacksonville. With Jalen Ramsey wanting out of Duval County, this appears to be his final game for the Jags as he will play with the hopes he'll be traded on Friday. Will that be a distraction to the team as they prepare for the Titans? Can Garden Minshew continue to play well for the Jags and defeat the Marcus Mariota led Titans on a short week?

Bengals @ Bills: The Bengals played well in Seattle but got demolished at home against the 49ers. Zac Taylor now heads to Buffalo in search of his first win as Head Coach. The Bills may be 2-0, but wins against the Jets & Giants aren't really convincing, but stopping a Bengals offense led by Andy Dalton, ranked second in the NFL in passing yards and first in completions and led by Tyler Boyd and John Ross who leads the league in receiving yards and receiving TDs might be more convincing and move the needle toward contenders.

Dolphins @ Cowboys: The Dolphins just traded Minkah Fitzpatrick and continue their quest to Tank for Tua, while the Cowboys look to take advantage of a team who just doesn't care to win. Dak right now is showing that he may just be worth the big QB contract after all and the Dolphins will make him look even better after a win on Sunday.

Broncos @ Packers: Joe Flacco does what he does best, leads the team late in the fourth only to watch the defense give up the lead and lose the game. A bad roughing the passer call on Bradley Chubb screwed the Broncos but it seemed the Broncos did find their footing in time to play Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. Packers continue to play well, and while the Vikings were able to find some holes in their stingy defense, can Flacco & company do the same on the road in Green Bay?

Falcons @ Colts: Matt Ryan executed a game winning drive that saw Julio Jones catch the game winning drive wide open to seal the victory against the Eagles. Colts pulled off the win against the Titans and look to prove doubters wrong and start the season 2-1 without Andrew Luck.

Raiders @ Vikings: You have to give props to the Raiders, they held the Chiefs offense scoreless for 3 quarters. The problem? Those three quarters were 1, 3 and 4 while the Chiefs scored 28 unanswered points all in the second quarter. Raiders now look toward Minnesota where the Vikings look to rebound at home.

Jets @ Patriots: The AFC East makes it easy as it is for the Patriots to reign supreme but the Pats run into a banged up Jets team who will now be down to their third string QB for this game. Will be interesting to see how the Jets plan on stopping AB but they had no answer for OBJ against the Browns. Another squash game for the Patriots.

Lions @ Eagles: The Eagles fear came true after giving Wentz a bunch of money, Wentz got hurt again. Sure he came back but it shows he can't stay healthy. The Lions held the Chargers to only 10 points but are going to have to score more than 13 against the Eagles to win in Philadelphia. Will the Lions get a much needed road win or will the hostile Philly crowd be too much for Matt Patricia and company?

Panthers @ Cardinals: If your Quarterback has not gotten hurt yet, please ask the NFL to use Bubble wrap to ensure he doesn't get hurt. QBs are dropping like flies and Cam Newton is just another victim as his status against the Cardinals is unknown at this point. The Cardinals have shown through two games that they made the right choice in drafting Murray and look to take down the Panthers with or without Cam Newton. Are the Cardinals going to be competitive sooner than we thought? Is this the end of the Cam Newton era in Carolina?

Giants @ Bucs: The Daniel Jones era will officially begin in Tampa as the Giants have once again benched Eli and the future all of a sudden is now in New York. The Bucs are coming off a strong road win against the Panthers and look to keep momentum going against a rookie QB who looked good in the preseason. Daniel Jones got a lot of hype for his preseason play, can he lead the Giants to victory with that same success on Sunday?

Texans @ Chargers: The Chargers lost to the Lions, the Texans ALMOST lost to a 6th round rookie making his first official start. Deshaun Watson has been sacked 10 times in two games this season, and you wonder if he is going to make it through the 2019 season.

Steelers @ 49ers: When Big Ben went down for an injury, it seemed all was lost for Pittsburgh. Seattle had the game won easily, then Mason Rudolph almost led a comeback and pulled off the win. Rudolph was quite impressive but he now faces a 49ers defense that held Cincinnati to just 17 points. A tough task already, now traveling to the west coast to face the 49ers in your first career start will be rough but the Steelers are hoping newly acquired safety Minkah Fitzpatrick can stop Jimmy G from running up the score on them.

Saints @ Seahawks: If Teddy Bridgewater is the future in New Orleans, the future is not bright at all. Bridgewater has struggled in the preseason and struggled last week as well. Drew Brees is out for over a month with a finger injury and now we get to see how the Saints perform without Drew Brees under center. Seattle catches them at the right time but we are deprived of a great QB duel between Wilson & Brees.

Rams @ Browns: The Browns beat the Jets and are going to the Super Bowl.... don't look at me like that Stephen A. The Browns return to the Sunday Night spotlight for the first time since 2008. The problem is their opponent is the defending NFC Champion LA Rams whose defense is led by Aaron Donald. Two first overall picks battle it out as Jared Goff and Baker Mayfield look to lead their team to victories on Sunday Night Football.

Bears @ Redskins: Can we have a flex option for Monday Night Football please? The Bears won the game against the Broncos on a field goal, who would have guessed? They head to Washington to face the Redskins who are coming off a loss to the Cowboys. Which QB will prevail, Mitchell Trubisky or Case Keenum?

From my understanding, Cam may be unlikely to play against the Cardinals.

@JO_75 , don't it feel weird to have Flacco in these threads????

5/6 78 Yards & 2 TDs for Minshew right now....... The Jags found their QB of the future?
