The Malaki Starks, the Red Zone Scoring, and the Q4 Jump Scare

1. Stop pulling blockers on the goal line
2. Incorporate Lamar as a run threat
3. Attack outside the guards and move the line laterally

my hope is that with lamar's injury and the fact we haven't needed it that much that we'll see more QB run as we get into the dog days of the season and into the playoffs

it also forces us to come up with solutions that don't rely on the gravity of the QB to create space

Seeing demantri jones and green sunday, is making me wish madibuke was healthy

it's always going to be the biggest what if of the season
because with mike green developing and with travis jones playing so well on the interior, you can't help but think about how dominant this front 7 could be with Beeks back

i just hope we can make sure madubuike has a running mate on the interior for next year (whether that's travis jones or someone new)

he was playing with green and jones a lot on Sunday (not replacing them)
Green and KVN both played 70% of the snaps while on his debut, Dre'mont Jones played 60%

i think that's fine - and i imagine Jones snaps will go up and KVN's will come down slightly
but there's enough snaps for the 3 of them easily

i think the best sign is that Ojabo only had 10 snaps the whole game

KVN still has value to the team for sure

Both rookies seem to be catching their stride at the same time.

Looking at the toss again to lamar….both faalee and henry couldve fucked that run up lmao. We may not need to call that again.

The toss itself was terrible. I am really getting sick and tired of Mark which is insane for me to say.

Is robinson anygood? I see people talking about him but i dnt remember him doing much
I like Robinson. Decent against the run and I think pocket pushing edges get under-rated. About 95% of QBs can move these days and keeping them in a shrinking pocket helps everyone. It's a lot more useful than an Oweh/Ojabo type who get home a few times a season and contribute nothing much from down to down.

I think he's playing at about 80% right now. You can see his speed has dropped off since the first couple of games. It may be hard for him
to get back to 100% playing every week, probably impossible at this point.

He used to be the most confident player before he was involved in that car accident. And that’s not me talking down on him about it, that’s a scary thing to go through. The stats don’t show it, but he just seems shaken the past two seasons. I don’t think we see the old Mark back. Lamar saved that toss from being a game-altering negative play. One handed catch with his left hand was crazy concentration.

I’d agree he is at about 80% right now, but I also think there’s a chance for him to get pretty healthy right now. Browns, Jets, and Bengals games upcoming should give him some time to recover. Pending Faalele shenanigans.

There's nothing wrong with that assessment. In practice he might ace these things 9/10 times, but they should be leery of putting him in those same game situations because his reliability falls, especially in very heated situations.

That is pretty insane, especially when you consider he’s the second leading receiver to Zay, and the leader in TD catches. lol

that run snipe is a great play and more indicative of how he's reading the field right now - the biggest thing that run play showed is that he's beginning to diagnose stuff pre-snap and because of that he's able to fire off the ball and beat guys to the spot

the pass rush reps though are really illuminating - on the 5 rushes that Baldy showed you saw 4 different pass rush moves... 2 hand swipe, cross chop, inside spin, long-arm - that's a lot of moves to be using as a rookie and is a great sign moving forwards - and the other rep was a great IQ play with the disrupting JJ getting into the route

just nothing but positives to glean from Green's performance this week

He is becoming who we thought and hoped he would be. Trading Oweh helped this guy on the field more. I wonder how far off Isaac is from his recovery and also Robinson. Perhaps they could make a good rotation to keep KVN fresh.
