Coaching Carousel 2026

So what Head Coaching announcements should we expect tomorrow if any? With both the Rams and Broncos out, I can see Arizona announcing Mike LaFleur. Maybe Mike McDaniel gets announced for the Raiders.

Raiders would be smart to hold out for Kubiak, like we should’ve done.

That man at least knows how to tackle. It was always comforting watching him actually wrap a dude up.
He really does. I was real scared of his tackling coming out, his college tape he secures his tackles mostly but I was worried about it holding up at the next level because I felt they looked panicked and sloppy and undisciplined. But he was a top 2 tackler on the defense last year

I think it’s unfair to compare Starks and Emmanwori. First of all yes, they play different roles on those defenses. Second of all, Emmanwori had an actual DC calling plays and game planning. Starks had freaking Orr.
Totally fair and in my defense I did include the stipulation that he could take off under minter and I’ll eat shit on this take

I don’t care bout none of this shit. I’ll take the far superior player and find a way to use him. And so far emmanwori has been exactly that. I know it could change under a competent defensive coach but yeah we’ll see.

Lmao I knew it, I agree though, I’ll take him leonhard coaching under minter in a fucking heartbeat.

Caleb downs welcome to Baltimore lol

I don't think Starks was even bad this year. Didn't make as many plays yeah, but he did really settle in around midseason. Feels like it's a virtual guarantee that he takes a step under Minter as opposed to Orr.

I think what you can say is that positional value wise, free safety is less valuable than nickel

That in hindsight, Hamilton plays a valuable position (so does emmanwori) but starks plays a less valuable position

Well I think it’s safe to say we’ll know who our OC is this week

Yep if we wanted our choice of hires, championship games couldn’t have worked out better for us

Scheelhaase, Webb, Leonard, Wilkins are all available to talk to (and hire) now

Don't know shit about him but that's a whole lotta NFL DBs on his resume
he coached Hamiilton, Xavier Watts, Benjamin Morrison and Cam Hart among others. He's known to have been one of if not the best defensive backs coach in college football over the last few seasons.

The last 3 seasons they have had Notre Dame has been ranked 1st, 1st and 9th in defensive pass efficiency. The last three seasons 56 interceptions and only allowed 36 TD passes. He's a very good talent evaluator and putting his players in the right place to succeed.

Minter has a connection with Mickens going back to 2007 when they both were at the University of Cincinnati. Mickens was a player and Minter was a grad assistant and again worked together at Indiana in 2012.

Ok but how many podcasters has he coached ?

This is getting comical.

They're down to...

Jim Schwartz - their DC who they only interviewed because they don't want him to leave
Todd Monken - got fired from his OC gig
Anthony Lynn - got an interview with the Bills also but still doesn't seem like a real candidate
Nate Scheelhaase - the only guy worth a damn
