Well to be fair his pressers were a) a gigantic waste of time, since EDC and John already do something similar and those are the people you want to hear from and b) he stopped doing them in 2019, so it's been a long time. Most likely got tired of answering questions about Ray Rice and his stance on domestic violence. If he had gone up there last year, 90% of the questions would have been about Justin Tucker.

So a) I don't think they were planning on rebuilding at the beginning of the year, and they still sucked and b) that team looks like they totally quit. And the defense is arguably the worst part of the team, which is what he was hired for.

In my opinion, had one of the worst rookie years of any HC I remember in a long time. There are teams who lost more than them that I thought tried and were more competitive than them.

I'd say Dan Campbells went 3-13-1 in his first season and I don't think that was worse than the Jets.

One day the Jets will hire an offensive coach as a head coach. You'd think they would just try something different than defensive coaches all the time. I can't remember the last time they had an offensive minded coach. I'm not saying it would be better but just different.

I'd say Dan Campbells went 3-13-1 in his first season and I don't think that was worse than the Jets.

but the way the lions were playing was completely different
you could see that they were punching above their weight in most games and playing hard - and importantly they improved throughout the season even if they didnt have the wins to show for it

this jets team have been getting curb-stomped and not been playing hard at all

Outside of a couple of blowouts (Bills, Cowboys), there were competitive AF in the first 13 weeks when they had either Fields or Tyrod. Once both were out and had to go to bum ass Brady Cook, it was curtains. At that point, the defense realized they didn't stand a chance with him at QB.
