Coaching Carousel 2026

If Harbs gets fired he'll be the top name instantly for many teams. That's why I think if they're going to do it they need to do it asap. Both sides can move on quickly.

I agree. The only nuance is if the Ravens and Harbaugh agree to some trade with his input. I could see that delay the announcement because you’d likely assume we’re targeting a playoff team in that case and may already know our guy.

With that said, I think there’s a 30% chance Harbaugh is gone. I am pretty confident he is staying here another year.

We know Lamar is on Twitter.

All the bashing on this coaching staff, blown leads, etc.. yet nobody’s more affected than Lamar and his legacy. He takes the heat, while Harbs is praised.

Ravens need to resign him this offseason. He has a no trade clause. Fans will be outraged if Lamar leaves, while Harbaugh stays.

Dude literally holds all the cards. That’s my hope that Harbs is gone. Lamar will demand it behind closed doors.

I'd be shocked if they traded him, mostly because it'd be a service to Harbaugh. They would absolutely give him the opportunity to go out there and interview and choose his destination. Theoretically they could let him do the same while still holding him under contract, but that adds complexity. If he's moving on, I think they're just going to frame it as a mutual parting of ways while giving him the leeway to go out and see if one of the openings is a job he actually wants.

I just about every player on Twitter/X these days. Honestly I feel like Lamar arrival to ravens have been a blessing and somewhat of a curse because the guy is the most talented quarterback this team has ever had which has equated to alot of wins but at the same time this fans base seem to worship him quite a bit even the players. It's like nothing I have ever seen before but I honestly don't think Lamar has a problem with Harbaugh.

You assume Lamar hates Harbaugh. I’m not so sure about that. Not saying that as in “I disagree” or “rethink that thought” as much as I genuinely am not sure how he feels. For all we know, he loves the guy and named Harbaugh his daughter’s godfather lol

Yeah, possibly. I mentioned trade because it’s not outside the realm of possibility. I also think Harbaugh would know what teams he would want to coach if it ever came to that even without interviewing them. These head coaches, especially those who have been around a while, are almost certainly well aware of the state of other teams and whether they would want those jobs or not.

With that said, I doubt he is traded and I doubt he leaves. I’m just mentally preparing myself that he will still be here at this point.

One day the Jets will hire an offensive coach as a head coach. You'd think they would just try something different than defensive coaches all the time. I can't remember the last time they had an offensive minded coach. I'm not saying it would be better but just different.

Jets need a culture change. I never thought Aaron Glenn was a "culture change" kind of guy. Adam Gase sure as fuck wasn't.
 
Harbaugh, Tomlin, and Zac Taylor forever employed. If you don't like that, you don't like AFC North Football.

Yeah I agree, I doubt Harbaugh is leaving. At this point Harbaugh is pretty much apart of the Front Office alongside Steve and EDC. I think I read somewhere that EDC house is behind Harbaugh's house or something like that? They're too close at this point.
 
Usually, before a coach is about to get fired. You hear rumors and mumblings of it. None of the top reporters have even indicated that Harbaugh is going to lose his job. They've suggested it and speculated, but nothing of substance. Orr is probably gone, but that's the only firing I could see happening.

Until we cut the head of the snake off, I'm already predicting a third place finish in the standings next year. Bengals win the division with a healthy Burrow and Rodgers returns to get Pittsburgh in as a wild card. Nothing will change until Harbaugh is gone. How many different coordinators have we had since the Super Bowl win and we always lose the same way, we blow 4th quarter leads like it's nothing, we lose the same way every week and Harbaugh does his stupid facial expressions on the sidelines.

I understand there's not a true big name hire that sticks out like a Ben Johnson or Mike Macdonald, so in a way I get not firing him due to the lack of a big name coach out there but keeping him is a disservice to the fans. I don't get how when you hear MVP chants in our stadium..... but those chants are directed toward the other QB, you think everything is fine and Harbaugh should stay. That alone should tick off Biscotti knowing our own fans are starting to become overpowered on game days. It's one thing when you are at an Orioles game and they are playing the Yankees or Red Sox, that's understandable. That's never a good sign when opposing fans take over your home stadium.

Harbaugh should be gone but sadly I think you're right.

Not replacing Horton should be a fireable offense in its own right.

Orr will probably be replaced with Dennard Wilson, assuming they want to keep the same system. I wouldn't hate that. I think he did well considering the talent level in Tennessee and he should probably have got the job in the first place.

If Harbaugh stays I don't mind keeping Monken. Firstly because he ran a great offense for 2 years vs 1 bad year but mainly because I don't trust Harbaugh to hire a better replacement. If Kubiak was Bisciotti's hire, as people say, Roman was Harbaugh's 2nd best OC hire behind Monken (and I hated Roman).

Local and even national reporters have been extremely clear for awhile now that they didn't expect a change in John's status. Preston and Nick Wright were literally the only one's beating those drums, and they have no sources close to the team at all.

Steve doesn't talk, so nobody knows what he does until he does it.
