Fully believe if we ran it back with the same unit and new DC there's a night and day differenceI strongly believe that every single defender showing weakness over the past 2 years can be attributed to Orr’s scheme.

18 years with a good head coach such as John Harbaugh gives a owner a good idea what he's looking for in the next head coach . What Biscotti was as the owner in 2008 is likely isn't the same now in 2026. Whatever decision he makes will likely be sound and a good decision. He has learned that you can't always go with the flashiest coach to win and maybe this time his head coach pick will be flashy but that head coach has to be special beyond scheme and systems that we all get googly eyes forI just believe whoever the Ravens hire will be the best option available to us. Then again, I remember how badly Bisciotti wanted to hire Jason Garrett from the Cowboys before settling on Harbaugh, and that gives me some pause...
While yes, I give them credit for looking more respectable in the 2nd half of each of these seasons, it's so damn perplexing that how GOD AWFUL they looked to start the season.I strongly believe that every single defender showing weakness over the past 2 years can be attributed to Orr’s scheme.
Absolutely, too much talent to be having that bullshit, even with the weak pass rushFully believe if we ran it back with the same unit and new DC there's a night and day difference
They didn’t look good in the second half either. What we allowed Malik Willis and old man Rodgers do to us was fucking disgracefulWhile yes, I give them credit for looking more respectable in the 2nd half of each of these seasons, it's so damn perplexing that how GOD AWFUL they looked to start the season.
Yeah I do be inconsistent like that haha, Ravens have been giving me more reasons to post lately which I am not sure is a good thingAlways nice to see you on the boards.
I don't disagree, but I'll add the caveat to the bolded part that we wouldn't have to do what we've done with Hamilton and he would be in his more natural (re. not versatile) position of Safety if they had kept Queen or replaced him with someone functional in the LB position. If you're gonna run a 4-2-5 hybrid on DEF, just because Hamilton is the most versatile doesn't mean he should be the guy filling the hybrid extra LB all the time. Coach up another S OR draft/FA a guy that can fill that roll so that most of the time, despite his excellent versatility, Hamilton can stay where he is at his best.I'm not sure why you think so. Every team would use Hamilton and Roquan very similarly to the Ravens.
You could argue that Jones as a bigger D Lineman, better against the run than the pass , is more suited to a 3/4, but every team would happily have him as part of their rotation. Maybe some teams would want him to focus more on developing the penetrating pass rushing ability has flashed on occasion but frankkly, good, I wish the Ravens would too.
They also have the best DL coach in the league.
I so wished the Ravens brought Dunbar in from Alabama back in '17 / '18. I did not like our D front under Cullen. That was a year or two after Clarence Brooks passed.
Add Shula and Scheelhaase to the interview list

This is where @rossihunter2 doesn't get what I'm saying about versatility. I love versatility. I don't love when your versatility has you filling roles that take you out of your strong suit. Draft or sign a FA that can be an every day 2 with Roquan in that 4-2-5 hybrid. Hamilton will be even more effective when they can mask that 3 in the LB's and it doesn't even have to be Hamilton.
Just because he can play in the middle, doesn't mean he should. He's better in the back.wtf are you talking about
hamilton played all over the alignment on any given down in any given formation
and to be clear, when im talking about 4-2-5 base im talking about nickel and im talking about hamilton as the nickel defender (slot) not as a 2nd LB... if he were the 2nd LB we'd be talking about dime packages - he occasionally served as the dimebacker in dime packages but that's not the same as playing WLB in base or nickel
what would you say is hamilton's strong suit, if you're not happy with him being a box defender?
He’s much more impactful around the LOS than as a deep SJust because he can play in the middle, doesn't mean he should. He's better in the back.
edit--- his versatility demands in our DEF that he be out of his primary, most impactful position.
