Coaching Carousel 2026

To me the most intriguing so far is David Webb... I don't know why, but this young man is impressive based on everything I've read and heard about him. If he does get selected as the HC or OC, I may adopt him also to keep Lamar company at home.
I got this feeling Webb could be the guy. Feels like a surprise hire we would do. I’ve also heard great things about the guy.

I wouldn't be surprised about Stefanski, either. He could be someone Steve had in mind when he mentioned previously-failed HC due to circumstances. Could also be McDaniel.

the fact that chris grier got nearly 10 years and 3 HCs is wild to me - never showed any sort of personnel acumen to be given that long of a leash
Managing them for the forum mock two years in a row hammered the point home to me, they had a good stash of picks they bungled through

I've cooled on Kubiak. Just watching his media makes me feel like he doesn't have the "it" factor to be a HC. I could be wrong, just doesn't seem strong enough in personality.
I haven't watched him much but I will say - tbf - none of us felt MM had that coach fire. He a was always shy on post games wired

Well tbf I never had those doubts but I also follow this team and not the Seahawks. I don’t know and wouldn’t know if Kubiak does as I haven’t seen him enough. If we hire him I will trust he does

Steve Bisciotti is the only billionaire that one can believe is a self made billionaire. Just his demeanor, honesty and ability to straight shoot is so impressive and uncanny. Wow! He is an impressive billionaire.
Whats wrong with not being a non self made billionaire? I also feel like most billionaires are self made.. maybe besides those oil dudes in saudi

Plus don't Steelers own his rights so it would need to be a trade?
Yep, I already saw something that said it would be a similar situation as Sean Payton where a trade would be required in order to get Tomlin. I know Tomlin said he's taking a year off but some team might try to convince him to coach next season? Why wait a year when you can get him now?

if you adopt him, make sure you spell his name correctly on the adoption papers. It's Davis Webb.

I listened to most of the press conference and it always shocks me hearing how transparent Steve is, even though I read of it from you guys earlier. The part where he was talking about Eric being really hard on himself and reinventing his style was awesome to hear - but equally shocking as he said along the lines of 'unlike his counter part who was shown the door'. hoping this means EDC tries to make a big splash for an elite impact position player this year.

I'm usually not the guy blaming assistant coaches much. All those years spent pretending like Juan Castillo was the reason the Ravens couldn't win. They're impactful, but not monumentally.

That being said... a lot of us saw this coming in the preseason. Easily the worst staff of assistant coaches I think I've seen ever in Baltimore. While MacDonald earned everything he had, the crew of assistants who left for promotions or better opportunities from that staff was super high.

This staff has nothing like that.

the brain drain after 2023 was wild
lose your DC
lose 2 key assistants to DC jobs elsewhere - taking some other assistant coaches with them
1 assistant promoted to DC

that defensive staff was ransacked

Big no to Stefanski. He got infected by a losing mentality last few years.
I think I would be fine with Stefanski if he was out of football for a year to reset. I think I have a hard time hiring a HC with lack of success immediately after being fired.

Like the Patriots did with Vrabel.

I believe what the Lions lost in 2024, was atleast pretty similar if not more.
