Coaching Carousel 2026

The
the brain drain after 2023 was wild
lose your DC
lose 2 key assistants to DC jobs elsewhere - taking some other assistant coaches with them
1 assistant promoted to DC

that defensive staff was ransacked

I got this feeling Webb could be the guy. Feels like a surprise hire we would do. I’ve also heard great things about the guy.

I wouldn't be surprised about Stefanski, either. He could be someone Steve had in mind when he mentioned previously-failed HC due to circumstances. Could also be McDaniel.

Funny cause my first thought was Saleh lmao

there's like 4 guys who fit the retread, high-profile coordinator in a previous hiring cycle

Kevin Stefanski
Mike McDaniel
Robert Saleh
Brian Flores

Harbaugh is interviewing with the Giants today, and will meet with the Titans & Falcons later this week. Giants may not even let him out of building lol... uh think that's called kidnapping.

The curious choice for me was why we chose Orr over the other guys

I would be happy with Saleh Minter or maybe Kevin S. He is the only coach in relocation history to have any success with the browns. He was always great in game management too I just don't know how he'd be in shotgun.

Mike McDaniel as a head coach is a huge absolute no to me. I don't want to be a soft team who can't win in big games. I also hate the thought of Flores, everyone who worked with him in Miami had bad things to say, he stopped talking to the dc in the middle of the season? What kind of head coach is that.

Saleh is my slam dunk guy, I believe in him. One thing I love about his system is all the players the niners have "hit on" developed under him. He or the guys with him clearly know how to coach guys up to potential, which is a big area of struggle on defense imo

I'm a big Saleh fan also. But which OC could he bring in who would have chemistry and competency to work with Lamar?

I'm also on the Saleh or Minter train. Wouldn't mind McDaniels as OC only and Flores as DC. Saleh just looks like a leader.

The

Pretty interesting read.
Watched that interview on the Braves podcast, too.

A Saleh/McDaniel pairing would be my dream come true

Steelers interviewing Weaver… trust me, ya’ll want him!

New guy here

Im 100% in on Salah. Mcdaniels is too soft to be a HC, would love it as OC but no more than that. Stefanski meh, Minter is OK I guess

I think Salah was dealt a bad hand in NY, he is a leader and we get some consistency in the defensive front for years to come. SF finished strong against Philly the other day, i want a defense that can make the key stop in the 4th quarter for once, please and thank you

Flores interviewing in Pittsburgh and that just feels like such a logical pairing

i wonder if they're going to do the same thing that the ravens have done and interview a ton of candidates

also notable that the only 2 franchises that have given him an interview are two of the strongest/most stable organisations
