Coaching Carousel 2026

It seems to me that Harbaugh's firing caught them off guard, and they asked to interview names they saw on Twitter or forums.
I don't think it's a good list of candidates; I think there was little research, little ingenuity.
Saleh lost the locker room with the Jets, and his offensive coordinators were awful. Flores lost the locker room, and the players hate him. Schwarz might be a good coordinator, but little else. Nagy was a disaster with the Bears, even though he could have chosen the QB. Brady's offense doesn't impress me at all. Stefansky couldn't manage a locker room with Odell and Baker. Joseph was a loser with the Broncos. Weaver doesn't tell you anything; his unit is nothing special. McDaniel had a good team, but they were always pretty easy to play against us.
I like Kubiak and Minter; he'd be good with Scheelhase, Shula, or Webb.
I don't like the rest; they don't seem like an improvement or a change from Harbaugh. We need fresh blood, new ideas.
Curious to know who you think would make the list of potential hires better.

Could ve wrong but would think we have a new coach next week. Round 1 is done Sunday. Dont see why they would need more than a few days to talk to 5 guys one more time.
Depends who they want. If it’s a guy like Saleh, he could still be coaching

Can’t wait for that Malik Nabers trade request in a year
Maybe we can arrange a trade for Nabers and Carter for Loop, (sadly Faalele is a FA) Vorhees, Mark Andrews, Roquan if he wants him, Marlon, etc.*

*Disclaimer: Yes, this is indeed sarcasm for those of you who think this is serious.

Confirmed by Schefter..... damn they didn't even let him leave to get interviewed by the Titans or Falcons. Damn, if they wanted him this bad we could have traded him to them sooner!

this would be great news for the Giants, if the contract does get finalized. Harbaugh is a culture builder and the Giants have some talent in the building as well. I'm glad he ended up in the NFC as well.

Saleh with the Jets: 20 wins, 36 losses, no winning seasons.

He might be good as a coordinator, but not as a coach
I'm not saying Saleh is the correct choice, but Belichick was 36-44 before he arrived in New England. And he went 5-11 in his first year there.

Not to mention the list of "young blood" coaches who were great as coordinators but failed spectacularly as HCs, including some in this cycle, is a mile long. The whiff rate is a lot longer than the hit rate.
