Coaching Carousel 2026

A guy that won coty twice in Cleveland is no joke. But the vibes are really bad, he needs to get out of the AFCNorth.
Exactly. And everything goes to Cleveland to die. Really think we could resurrect him.

I have this feeling I can’t shake that stefanski is the best option and it’s not close, but I can’t prove it or explain it and I’m scared to be dead wrong on this so I won’t state it with any conviction lol

As long as they X’s & O’s and not a Rah-Rah HC.

On that note… Stefanski is apparently the favorite for the Falcons’ vacancy

As long as Harbs brings Weaver to NY, then we won’t get a “CEO” unless I’m missing a name

Lmaoooo! Not Zac Taylor lol

this graphic is wild lol

Sean McVay vs Kyle Shanahan in the NFC West is a you're wrong/right either way kind of choice

4 first year HCs and a 5th being a new hire (and by default a 6th in the AFC North) is a real choice lol

Kellen Moore over Dave Canales feels weird
Liam Coen over Demeco Ryans and Shane Steichen feels weird
Ben Johnson over Dan Campbell and Matt LaFleur feels early
Mike Vrabel over Sean McDermott feels too early as well

i saw that too
but then also seen some stuff that Saleh's a guy they're leaning towards too

basically, it's too early for most of these "rumours" to be right yet i guess

I would be a little surprised if anything happens yet unless the Ravens are telling people they’re eliminated. Maybe we are, or letting them know we would look at them for coordinator.

I think most of them will wait to see who we pick before the dominos fall. As much as PIT wants to think they’re the hot job, no way that’s true

I'd be kind of surprised if any of the guys on the shorter second interview list of ours makes a decision before we hire someone. I still think we have the cherry job out there.

prisoner of the moment.

It does feel like to me you have the following:

Minter: knows the org, defensive minded coach who is smart, Macdonald-like (closest we will get to him)
Webb & Scheelhaase: potential for major breakout offensive coach, solid personality, young and upcoming
Stefanski & McDaniel: retread offensive coach aligned to bad orgs
Saleh: defensive retread coach aligned to bad org

I think that's my top 6 atm from the names announced.

i'd agree on that top 6 (you've got 6 names lol) albeit i think Stefanski and Saleh have me least enthused of those 6...

think my clear top 2 (based on everything i've seen and read so far) are McDaniel and Minter

Yes that’s what I said top 6 ;-)

From the names I like Saleh the least. I would rather go Minter than Saleh in that scenario

So this is why all of this is so captivating. I like Stefanski and McDaniel and would prefer an OC as HC - I think. But! If Minter is HC, would one of those two settle to be OC here? And how long would they stay? Conversely, could we hire either Stefanski or McDaniel and still get Minter as DC? The bigger question is how in either scenario is how do we KEEP them longer than a year or two? We need some continuity going forward. I think more on OFF which is the ONLY reason I err to an OC as HC.

Just wait til the Giants' JH says, "I have to have _____!" The guy we wanna pick as HC. "I really need him as my go to ___!" Fill in OC or DC as you desire. After years of not picking coaches that could replace him.
