Coaching Carousel 2026

Stefanski is off the board and heading to Atlanta.

I wish I could say this upsets me but it really doesn’t. I like Stefanski and I think he’s better than the Browns but his offense never really took off there. He was always kind of weird where they were competitive but it was always on the defensive side of the ball. They did have some good OL for a bit and some decent RBs.

also if that's the case then the guy you're employing is anthony weaver... without a doubt he's going to be the guy within the group that's been interviewed who will enthuse the players and coaches with the most motivational energy and "culture"

Psh. If they give Weaver the job, I’m doubting this leadership group. They might as well have let Harbs run it back with a new coaching staff. If you truly want the rah rah type of coach then you should go with Saleh, he at least brings you some X and O advantages. However, I don’t think he’s the best option for our defensive talent and structure. If I’m choosing out of the top defensive minds it’s Minter and then Saleh knowing that we have to make adjustments to the way we draft and play ball on the defensive side.

idk - all the things ive seen of mcdaniel seem entirely genuine
hence why some people have called him corny - because he's being genuine instead of pretending to be something he's not

Yup. I see it the same way. He’s not going to pretend to be Vrabel or Mcvay or whoever else you see as an X and O “leadership” type. He’s going to be true to himself and demand you execute accordingly.

It's important to hear what McDaniel is saying, not how.

If the players do that, unlike most of the public, there is no reason why he couldn't lead "grown man", regardless of him being unconventional as an NFL coach.

Give me a genius on one side of the ball instead of motivator/rah rah prick who's useless when it gets dicey on the field.

Yup. I agree

Kubiak is putting on a clinic tonight and making Saleh look terrible. Definitely hard to ignore his offense. Still not sure about him as a HC but damn

Stefanski was a finalist but not at the top end of that list.

Heard they really liked McDaniel as well.

Scheelhaase had an impressive interview as well but sounds like he was not going to be a finalist as of earlier today.

Stefanski going out may allow for another guy to slide back in though.

I dont know a thing but I really think with Stefanski out the HC will come from

Minter
Saleh
McDaniel
Flores

With Flores being the lowest probability imo.

Its really hard to say even from the info I’m getting, because this is going to be partially dependent on the staff they’re able to bring in, and they aren’t letting that out even in close circles.

So like yeah, a guy like Minter could be impressive. But if he has Greg Roman in mind as his OC (I’m being facetious), they aren’t going to give him the job.

Huge relief

Don't know if I would have been that upset.

Maybe it was posted here but can't remember. They say Mike is supposed to be brining a great staff with him for what it's worth.

I don't really see the comparison between John Harbaugh and Anthony Weaver. Weaver has experience calling plays and has the experience playing in the NFL. I guess you could potentially call him a CEO coach or a rah rah type of coach but honestly that doesn't mean they are the same. Mike Tomlin and John Harbaugh were both head coaches that allow their coordinator to call plays but they both have different coaching styles and different methods on how they run/ manage their team.Truthfully all head coaches should have some rah rah and the ability to keep players inspired because genius schemes can go but for so far . If scheme was really the only answer to all things then I think Josh McDaniel would still be a head coach even Mike McDaniel as well.

A head coach must be able to lead in situations when things aren't always looking great ,must be able to be adaptable to change, must be able to instill discipline with in his team, must be a leader for his coaches and players, must be able to build a great coaching staff that can develop talent that is given to him( major important for the ravens comp pick strategy) ,have a sold if not great relationships with his franchise quarterback, and able to surround his franchise quarterback with a offense that will help him be successful.

If the ravens decided to hire Anthony Weaver as their next head coach I understand fans being disappointed because they like to see more of playcaller type head coach which is the wave or common trend in todays NFl but truthfully we have to understand we are not apart of theses interviews.. A guy like Anthony Weaver may actually have the best philosophy and coaching staff ideas out of all the head coaching candidates. I trust the ravens owner and staff to make the right decision..The ravens owner himself has made a living from a staffing agency business.this guy knows how to find talent and that doesn't mean he perfect but we as fans going to have to accept the next head coach might be a surprise hire like John Harbaugh whom still has the record for the most play offs wins on the road and is the first head coach to take his team to the AFC championship during his first year as a head coach .

For those that are questioning Saleh tonight, just look at that defensive depth chart. He’s had a bunch of not great players playing well above their weight for a long time. This game doesn’t undo that.

I think he had the game well prepared, just like Kubiak, only Kubiak's was better executed; he just blocks and runs.

The play where there are four linemen clearing a path for Walker, wow, just imagining Henry there.

That offense suits us very, very well.

Saleh's performance isn't being dismissed, but today Kubiak scored another point.
