Coaching Carousel 2026

@Truth showed me a sample size with two running backs that played in his system and a different system the following year and in both situations they were better away from his system.
Sample size and two backs don't really go together. Admittedly, neither does my eye test of just liking some of the things he does in the run game.

Kingsbury did work with some really untalented teams with bad GMs so there wasn't much of an O line to make space for the backs either. He's not my top choice but I wouldn't despair at him as OC either.

For the record it took less than an hour for social media to find tape of the GM in a behind the scenes celebrating the bad 40 time because it meant the Bills could get him.

It also makes me feel more confident in what I said yesterday that the Bills are a bad organization because that press conference was a disaster. Might be one of the worst I have ever seen.
The gm couldve said it only because it got to the point where he just accepted it.

I'm so glad we are done with Cliche John here in Baltimore. Now, it's NYC's turn to deal with his dad, his brother, and a whole bunch of cliches...
That whole "Who's better than..." schtick is like 30 years old. Started way back in late 1990's WCW wrestling with Chris Kanyon. It was hilarious. "Who's better than Kanyon?!" and the fans would yell "Everybody!" "No, no, no! The answer is NOBODY! Nobody's better than Kanyon!" Went on for weeks. Then when it came back a few years ago it was funny again for a minute, but come on already, right?

Btw, your son needs Kubiak! That pair could go down as one of the best.

yes, I'm aware the sample size is small and it's why I mentioned that he showed me two backs. I've always thought he gets away from the run way too easy and doesn't adjust well through the season.

Seems that the Bills are gearing up to announce Davis Webb as head coach as early as Monday, if the Broncos lose. This is coming out of Buffalo and not sure how accurate the reporting is ..

I do think Buffalo is the job Webb would take over our gig. It would make a lot of sense since he has a connection there or two (or more).

Would suck since I do like him and his potential. I do hope the decision (Webb, Minter, etc.) is ours and we get our guy and that it's not decided for us.

This "let the board fall to us" stuff is such a double-edged sword. I trust if there was someone they want NOW, they'd go get him though....

It does feel like we're taking that approach here, but there are limitations all teams are bound.

I think we will get whoever we want if we want them outside of Davis Webb. He's the only one who may choose another team (i.e., the Bills) over the Ravens. So if Webb is our choice and #1 pick, we will have a shot at him. My guess is it'll come down to money.

@Simba , do you think differently from what you heard? I know we are content to wait, which implies our #1 pick is still playing/unavailable. I doubt we would lose them unless Webb just really wants to coach Josh Allen.

What is the so called Kepn Coleman "situation"?

owner said that keon coleman was the coach's pick rather than beane (partly as justification for beane to stay and mcdermott to go)
which would be weird even if it was true

but the bills own footage of their draft process from that year shows beane at multiple times during the process talking about coleman as the guy

basically showing that he and the owner are full of shit lol

I think they have a number of options and they're waiting for someone to win the job. Minter is in today and if they come away convinced he's the guy, I don't think they're going to wait for the other guys. But if they still think one of the other guys can do better, they'll wait it out. They're going with the flow essentially, but don't mistake that for not being aggressive. They've positioned themselves to be able to move when they're able to move.

The cherry on top being that Coleman is still on their roster. If they had any hopes of getting anything for him in a trade that is now over.
