Next Up: @ Steelers

I'm slightly surprised that anyone is confident. The past 13 years have shown us that the Ravens usually disappoint us in games like this.

There's usually one really obvious coaching thing we should have done in these games, that everyone is crying out for, but the coaches never make the change. My guess - The Steelers tend to crowd the box against us, and we usually stand there and take it (like Drew Bledsoe). It would be nice if we attacked it with play action but we haven't really done that against them over the past 8 years, so we probably won't.

It's not hopeless because sometimes they don't let us down but I'm definitely going into this prepared for the worst so that a win, if it happens, can be a nice surprise.

Not surprised you're not confident lol. We have got over a lot of adversity to get where we are today, namely the 1-5 start. The Steelers suck and I believe we will get our shit together tomorrow and play to our potential. If we can do that, we will win.

Lamar plays well, we win. He should be rested and healed, no reason to think he can't ball out.
He just needs to dial back the big play hunting against this pass rush and switch his mind to just making a play. Even against our defense, the Steelers offense isn't going to score a ton of points. We're not going to need a TD every drive against them, sometimes 3 or a punt will be good enough. I hope Lamar sees it that way.

I simply fear he is going to do things that aren’t necessary in this game. Like you said, we shouldn’t need a ton of points. Stick to the gameplan; run Henry first; and don’t get cute. Same with Zay. Catch the ball and GET DOWN. The chance they knock the ball out of your hands is far greater than the extra two yards you might get.
Regardless of who plays, just WIN!

Hey Raven fans I admit almost a week later getting our butts kicked by you guys still stings like hell especially in our own backyard.

Playing to our potential is asking for a lot with this team lol

This is how I look at it too, but with longer sight. One thing I am convinced of, we can play good football. Another thing I'm convinced of is that despite looking so good at times, we still sputter and misfire and lay eggs for no good reason and without explanation. But the thing I'm most convinced of is that we CANNOT go five more games without having one of "lay an egg" games. It could be tomorrow night we lay the egg, it might be the AFC Championship, but make no mistake, this team has another egg in there ready to be delivered. ;)

I don't expect to score a lot of points tbh, I think it's the defense that comes through. I don't see Pitt running the ball very well on us and it's really hard to believe Arthur Smith is gonna scheme up enough chunk plays behind a mostly immobile Rodgers dealing to 'Muth and Gainwell.

Been hoping for this kind of situational awareness from LJ for many years, maybe it finally comes. Hope springs eternal!
