The Q4 Heroics, the Tackling, and the Season is Over

He definitely will never have a single thought in his head. I fucking love him.

My son got him for Christmas and this whole venture has become my obsession lol
Oh shoot- so you already know how cute they are.

I've wanted one for some time, but I'm not sure I want a tank.

They are so adorable, though. Totally oblivious and total head in the clouds.

First time owning a tank. It’s daunting at first but I found a few resources to make it a lot easier.

Yeah it’s a lot of work but I’m enjoying tf out of it, lots of fun building a little ecosystem.

And this little guy is pretty spectacular. I know when he’s hungry because he’ll stare right at me, he’s a vicious predator to worms(seriously), and he gets the zoomies. So cool owning one

Someone give me some hope for Green cause I’ve been his biggest cheerleader all year and he’s just never put it together

I’m including Chuck Smith in that

Yeah his story is not over. I actually liked the thought process behind their plan to develop him, but it all felt meaningless with this miss.

If there was one criticism I’ve had all year, it was treating him with kid gloves. Never really pushed him with any real competition in camp. And felt like they never really trusted him from distance so never really gave him the opportunity to try it, even when it made sense.

What I can say though… I know he’s hit from 75 in practice. And that was with a live rush. So there’s no reason to throw in the towel.

Not having a competition in camp was ridiculous

I’ve seen enough to believe he’s a legitimate nfl edge rusher.

Now does that mean he’s a perennial pro bowler? Double digits multiple years? Idk about that. Think we still need an edge rusher as bad as we’ve ever needed one, because when he stepped up everyone else fell off a cliff, and dre’mont is more of a chess piece in the pass rush than a feature guy.

Ideally we get an edge 1 and green is an extremely high end edge2 and jones is a McPhee kinda guy, more likely we’ll manage to find an edge 2 who can capitalize better on the attention Green gets. MOST likely is we do none of that and our pass rush sucks again and Zach Orr is still the coach.

With 12 seconds left, I did wonder if we could've ran the ball once and then taken the time out. But with our fumbles in key scenarios this year, we hitched our wagon on Tyler Loop being 7-7 between 40-49 yards going into tonight. Raw feelings aside, those are makes far more often than they're misses.

I did feel like the call on Ronnie Stanley was odd, given that he was parallel to Roger Rosengarten. And I find myself thinking of what could've been if DeAndre Hopkins didn't stop running. Would've been poetic for Isaiah Likely to have squeezed a tough grab against the Steelers for a win. But boy, down 10-13, with all of the wind gone out of our sails, I thought Lamar Jackson delivered again and again. Sucks that we lost Kyle Hamilton when he was needed the most.

All the penalties, all the mistakes, players stop running, all this comes back to coaching. You don't see this in Kansas City, you don't see this with the Rams, you don't see it with Denver or New England. We simply aren't a well coached team and that's been the case for far too long and hopefully tomorrow morning...... we will be free of Harbaugh, Monken and Orr and the entire coaching staff. That at this point will feel like winning the Super Bowl.

If we're going to give Orr a pass for poor tackling, Monken dealt with poor execution, too. Keaton Mitchell dropping a long pass down the sidelines. Multiple holds taking away first downs. It didn't matter, but Ronnie Stanley's illegal formation penalty negating a Mark Andrews first.

And with Orr, I can absolutely sympathize with the lack of a pass rush, but the defense still has extremely well paid players at all levels of the defense and has invested heavy draft capital into all three levels.

I never thought Orr would be 2023 McDonald, but the defense is far too unreliable and playing too far below expectations given the abundance of talent and resources that are routinely poured into that side of the ball.

They don’t win with consistency

But they don’t create high-variance positive plays like sacks and turnovers either

Makes them feel very toothless
