2026 Offseason Thread

Batemans as close to a mute as they come. I cant see him being the "bitchy" one. Maybe Im wrong. I didnt think we had a bitchy WR on the roster.
I think he posted some comments on his instagram about his role on the team and then claimed he was hacked the next day. I don't remember exactly what he said

Not the first time it's happened. And not the first time he's excused it with some BS either. He may not be as vocal as AJ Brown but he's still bitchy and has had multiple instances of being unhappy.

We need some fucking dawgs on this team man. Apparently AJ and Lamar started following each other on IG yesterday too

Trenches are a priority before anything else though
Well here's someone that's both a dawg and addresses trenches. ALL ABOARD this #SIIE train!

i dont think that's how odunze was used tbh
that's some of his value, the ability to be isolated as the "x" but he's a movable piece within the offence

and typically, in both iterations of the lamar offence, the "x" has often been a clearout role to create space in the intermediate range

i'm sure if you added a better quality of guy there you'd see more production but i still don't think that role is going to be crazy high volume

if you get anyone who can play "x" they better also be able to be a power slot and maybe even a movable "z" too

You’re right. Odunze was definitely moved around at a higher clip than Brown but that’s mainly because the OC in Philly was trash. I still think Brown would thrive in the role Odunze was in.

Sure, the X has also been more of an afterthought and not targeted often in the previous versions of our offense but I would think that may not be the case going forward if we have a true threat there and are running a scheme similar to Sean Payton’s.

I don't think you'll see competition until you get later into training camp. Kicker isn't one of those things where it takes months to figure out who the guy is. If he sucks in the preseason, you can bring in somebody else quickly and they'll be kicking the following week.
Good point, I can see a vet kicking for us next season

I’ll be that guy on this one. It’s not happening, EDC recently spoke negatively about having to give up draft capital to acquire and then turn around and pay them but I guess we were in on Quinnen Williams. So maybe? I just don’t see us giving up multiple first round picks even if it’s Crosby

Dam you think it would require multiple first rnders for a guy coming off a season ending injury?

Seems you found that answer real easy

Precisely

Listen if we get AJ Brown we can ship Rashad Bitchman out the door to deal with only one bitchy WR quota. Bateman isn’t shit compared to Brown

If Crosby hits the trade block publicly, I guarantee we can’t offer enough to land him.

Does he have a no trade clause?
So for me, couple obvious problems:
1. We literally can't afford his contract until Lamar signs an extension. And I think even with that you'd probably need to make some cuts to keep him. His contract isn't super prohibitive, but he's owed a fully gtd $30M next year, his $29M salary in 2027 fully gtd in like a month, and he's owed $113M over the next four years. The Ravens would have to get extremely creative, or clear a bunch of cap space, to even dream of shopping in that market.
2. You've got contending teams that are super flush with cap space. Notably, Chargers/Rams/Seahawks and haven't shown to be afraid to make big trades.
3. Our GM hasn't changed, and so I don't see many scenarios where EDC is shopping in the "multiple first round pick + more asset" trade market.

IF Lamar gets an extension done relatively quickly, there's plenty of possibilities that open up. Think Max might be on the above our range even then, but a Lamar extension certainly opens up possibilities for us to look to maybe give up like a 1st + mid rounder or something like that for a premium pass rusher. Not sure it'll be at Crosby level though.
