2026 Offseason Thread

I mean sure, but Mack and Tuipulotu were not top 32 graded in for PFF, advanced stats, or pass rush win grade. I’ve been a big Mack guy. Tuipoltu is a stud. Oweh was the only person graded as a top 20 guy, and he was on the Ravens to begin the year.

My point is that the Chargers roster really isn’t loaded with talent. The Ravens have their faults, but do we really think guys like Roquan, Hamilton, and Wiggins aren’t miles ahead of what the Chargers had?

I will still argue I don’t think that the Ravens roster is much different than it was when it was #1 either way McDonald, pending Madibuike’s health. If you get a guy or two, and you squeeze just a little more out of a guy like Jones or Green, I can see a path for the Ravens to be a top 5 defense again.
Their pass rush is significantly better than ours. Our secondary is significantly better than theirs. Just talent in different places and they had it in the right place to make their weakest place look better.

I actually think the ravens are pretty set in the back 7 defensively. Will they draft a corner? Of course, they have 11 picks and always draft more corners, but i don't think it's even a low key priority (i do think marlo stays). defensively I see them drafting a DE with juice and even with Dre'mont back they will get 2-3 more guys ate EDGe between FA/draft to build around Robinson/Green. But most of the improvement on that side will come through scheme.

It's the offense that's getting rebuilt this offseason. They are old and bad on that side. Tackle/G/WR/TE I think are all on the board in the first 3 rounds of the draft.
Assuming Marlon stays, Corner room is extremely average right now. An injury to Wiggins and its a bottom 5 CB room in the NFL. You aren't coming close to competing with that. In the present alignment, Hamilton is exclusively a SCB, which is far from ideal for what he brings to the table.
And you have no 2nd Safety on the roster at that point.

The offense isn't going to get major investments. They'll add a WR, potentially early, but I'd be somewhat surprised if a Tackle is high on the priority list, Guard is a day 2 or day 3 pick, and TE is basically who fucking cares. They'll take one somewhere like they normally do.
No idea why you think the offense is old. The Oline is will likely have four starters 25 or younger, they very likely won't have a WR over 30 on the entire team and their two best one's will be 26 or younger. The only "old" positions on offense are TE and RB.

You'll have 2x as many new starters on D as you will on offense.

@Simba Is this good or bad? How should we take this news lol.

All I know is he was some analytics guy and there's no shortage of analytics guys around the league right now, so one of the guys they hired either on the coaching staff or in the FO is already backfilling.

I do think the offense has gotten old and bad. The top 6 players on offense are Lamar, Henry, Tyler, Zay, Andrews and Stanley. Half of them are old and Lamar turns 30. After those 6 you'd be hard pressed to find somebody better than average at their position. Guys like Likely, Bateman, Faalale and maybe even Roger Rose petering out into mid tier players barely worth a 2nd contract has come home to roost.

If there is a Tackle worth the 14th pick I'm not gonna hold the trigger just because I'm probably getting 1 more good year out of Stanley.

who was the corner we drafted last yr that they were very high on during training camp and preseason before he went down with injury?
bilhal kone - idk about high on but he was a lock to make the depth chart and the initial 53 and showed good reps in preseason (including on the play he got injured)

ironically his injury is partly how we found Keyon Martin

i cannot believe the coaching staff was so enamoured with reuben lowery and jay higgins that we nearly missed out on keyon martin...

If your top 6 include Lamar, Flowers and Linderbaum, I'm good with that. The others are on rookie deals. Don't see why the offense would need major upgrades when it's far and away the better unit of the two.

Tackle is an option in the first, but it'll be somebody who will probably start at Guard in year 1. Using a mid-first rounder on somebody who sits doesn't make sense, and I doubt anybody you'll draft there is better than Stanley or RR in year 1.

got that info from Zrebiec that they were high on him about a week or two ago. He said they thought he may be competiing for a decent amount of snaps the 2nd half of the season.

not sure what you are getting at with Rosengarten petering out into mid tier players. He improved tremendously as a run blocker and improved as a pass blocker as well. He has become an above average tackle and I expect him to improve even more in year two with a better OL coaching staff. Now if you were to say that he started off slow, I would agree with you, but the second half of the season he got much better.

Talked my fair share of shit about how inept I thought Orr was. Wish him the best in Seattle and hope he can go on to be one of the next great DCs... regardless of the Geneva Convention violations he committed in Baltimore

what's the pricepoint where you just decide that corey bullock is good enough if you upgrade the guard spots next to him?

For the most part I'd give him what he wants. We can't go in having to do the whole interior line unless you seriously think at least 1 of these guys are starter worthy.

If we're not going to pay Tyler I swear that money better used to trade for a premier edge guy or DL.

And I'll be pissed if we decided to spend money on Andrews then not bring back our C.
