2026 Offseason Thread

Ricard is pretty critical it would seem to our team.

Stout, Ricard, Linderbaum are the critical ones, I'd say.

After them, the "really want back" would be: Kolar, Jones, Huntley, Awuzie

It would be nice to get back Wallace, too.
Gilman?

Remember when people were calling the rams bad for trading all their 1st rounders away and saying it wasnt gonna work for long.. dam near 10yrs later and they still are at it.

parker brailsford

Yeah personally I would go get a FA G regardless of Linderbaum but especially if he leaves. Ultimately I think if he goes you just accept your losses and try to harden other areas. Personally I’d rather we go hard after another position of need to reduce issues before the draft like EDGE and WR. I’d just prioritize OL higher in draft picks to compensate since the draft is decently strong there.

I dont see how we are not just a very mediocre team next year. This team has a terrible number of holes and the whole regime just changed. To expect the moon out of next season would seem highly foolish to me.

My benchmark of a good season is any step forward over the trash that was 2025.

which is a playoff team at minimum...

They've managed to mitigate that risk by drafting extremely well outside of round 1 in recent years. Their track record of starting quality or better players is pretty impressive, and they've also found a number of good rotational guys as well.

Out of curiosity, what's the main difference between this thread and the Signings, Cuts, Trades thread? Kinda feels like we should merge them?

The Rams are probably the best team at drafting in the league. They were regularly finding starters in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and even 5th round. I doubt any other team could have been successful like that.

Also on the flip side the Eagles got just as much success with a young, mostly drafted team without those trades.

signings cuts and trades can happen at any time throughout the year

the offseason right now is about free agency and signings etc sure which is why there's some crossover right now, but the draft is around the corner and then we've got all the OTAs and any other types of stuff that comes up in the offseason

you'll also probably see a lot of free agency (non-ravens) stuff in the signings thread too

so have the Pats and agree, don't know how legit it is

Makes sense though as even Zrebiec says we are in on AJ Brown.
Not that they’re the exact same player, but I’m concerned that Brown may end up in the same situation as Hopkins, where he is still good but we just don’t use him like you’d want

If Harbaugh and Monken were still around, I would agree that we wouldn't use him like we should. Given we got a whole new coaching staff, our new OC came from Chicago where DJ Moore was used quite well, I'm not quite concerned about his usage.

With that said, we aren't getting him. Pats will more than likely give up the higher draft picks and have the cap space to do so.
