I don't think the Steelers are willing to spend enough to get Willis. There won't be much of a bidding war for Murray.

Murray is actually in a pretty good spot. He's going to sign for at or near the vet minimum. The only question is whether he would take a backup role (doubtful) or want to go to a place with a chance to start.

Conceptually, it's not a long list of teams he would start for. Jets, Steelers, Browns, Dolphins, Vikings are probably the five main one's. Falcons a long shot, and the Raiders as a bridge QB, but I doubt he'd go there.

Falcons I don't think pull the plug on Penix yet, and I suspect the Browns will see what Shedeur has to offer before making any long-term commitments elsewhere. That means that Willis and Murray would likely end up between the Jets, Steelers, Dolphins or Vikings. Still have Aaron Rodgers sitting out there who allegedly isn't retiring yet.

If I’m Murray I either try to start for Falcons or Vikings but if that falls through I’d take a backup deal with the Rams as that sets him up as the heir to Stafford on a strong team.

Having a pass rush will fix more defensive issues than could ever be possible with different coaching or scheme. Not being able to pressure the passer just makes everything on defense a huge challenge.
