2026 Offseason Thread

Technically don't know what those guys were dealing with at the end of the season.

I'll say this to defend that smug prick in Jersey. It felt like the team was usually playing better ball going into the latter months.
Nope, but that's true of all 32 teams. Ravens ain't the only team of players lining up to get surgeries done in January/February.

Yeah but every team agreed to that cba yet our fourth quarter meltdowns have come more frequently than anyone else. At least since 2022
Yup. And maybe that's a product of lack of mental toughness. How many guys on the team came from winning cultures?

These collapses were happening before this current iteration. After the bowl this team won 1 playoff game before Lamar. Why didnt we win a 2nd one that same year? During that time, like clockwork, it would usually come down to a late season divisional game. We would then proceed to lose in heart breaking fashion.

To your point, we did kinda fall flat after we lost Lewis and Reed in the same offseason and the other veterans from that team. We lost some guys but I think we had more of an exodus from the 2023 Ravens than we did from the 2013 Ravens after winning the Super Bowl.

We lost most of the real leaders after the bowl and everyone knows Harbaugh was on his way out until Flacco got hurt.

Lost a lot of coaches after 23.

If Harbaugh had stuck with Joe, we'd have been free of him and had a HC that might have accentuated Lamar even more. Lamar was not served well by allowing JH to hang around so long.

What are the Chances of an extension prior to the season? @Simba

They'd like to get it done. It was originally a later in the offseason thing but I last heard they may hit the ground running a little sooner and see what progress they make. Wouldn't be shocked if talks start in the next month or so.

Feels tough to completely block Emery Jones' progression unless they somehow think he can factor into the C conversation

basically giving up on a 3rd round pick who hasnt even had an offseason

but also don't get stuck with the sunk cost fallacy

Would not be shocked at all if they move him back to T with the idea of him sliding in with Roger over at LT in the future.

Don’t think it’s a foregone conclusion that John Simpson runs away with the job. He’s making low end starter money but if jones is the 2nd best G you gotta think he’s gonna get the nod
