Jesse Minter Head Coach

I want someone who can coach the O-line well, we have a free agent center, 2 guard spots that aren't good, and an aging left tackle. Don't want Lamar running for his life again as he gets older and less mobile.

That OL coach from Atlanta should be the target

Apparently Mike McDaniel is being interviewed by the Bills today. Likely explains why he committed to LAC but hasn’t yet signed.

Guess that kills the outside hope he would come here as OC

Hopefully LAC hires Orr and McDaniel is like naaaah, this isn’t gonna work lol

I wouldn't be surprised if Minter goes the Macdonald route with an old head former HC that can be that ear to bend. MM has Leslie Frazier in Seattle with him now as a pure AHC.

I kind of assumed his dad might fill that role but maybe he just wants stick to a defensive analysis role

I just wonder if the Seahawks had lost two weeks ago if Minter would’ve still been our first choice. Ravens may have been afraid of being in a bidding war for Kubiak and then losing out on both Kubiak and Minter. Reminds me when we got Harbaugh but our first choice was really Garrett. I hope Minter works out here. I am happy, because he was the top pick of mine, behind Kubiak. I hope Kubiak does not end up Steelers HC.

I think the Steelers go Weaver or Shula.

I know the Dolphins hired Hafley and I know there was a connection, but I thought it would have been cool if Shula was the Dolphins head coach. He was interviewed on the 16th, so he did atleast get an interview.

I get the impression that Minter was the favorite almost the whole way through, and the final interview kind of put the stamp on that

Also, fun fact... apparently they had heavy interest in Shula as well. Don't know who all of him, Scheelhaase, Kubiak, and Webb were actually going to get 2nd round interviews, but they all impressed and were all in contention.

I think the Brady interview yesterday was much more about getting to know him more as a potential OC option than it was him as an actual HC option.

SIGN THE OC ALREADY

THESE COWARDS

There's so many players I want to see under Minter now. Just thinking about an Oweh transformation for any young guy on the defense is so cool

His experience with Derwin James is actually a big sticking point, in my opinion. Our defense is led by Hamilton, and not every defensive coach really knows how to get the most out of versatile safeties like that.
DPOY SZN loading for Kham

Real talk though... it's hard not to see this defense getting drastically better. We're certainly much weaker at some spots (looking at you, pass rushers) but the overall talent on our defensive side of the ball is better than LAC. Minter had a lot of mid to late round picks stepping up and playing some really good ball, so it's fun to think about what he's going to be able to do at some of those spots with more premium players.

I'd almost be willing to bet that both Starks and Green look significantly better this year.

Starks, Kyle and Nate should see big jumps. Wouldn't be surprised if Tampa saw more reps. Also, think we see more out of Tavius, Peebles and a LEAP from Green.

maybe that's where a guy like weaver fits in again having done that role with Harbs

not sure how many leslie fraziers there are out there though unless you're looking at chuck pagano again

I'd be interested in Scheelhaase for the OC job for sure
he seems like he's maybe the next cab off the McVay rank
