Damn so it is the knee not the ankle. Sprain is still a tear if that’s the case, which doesn’t preclude an ACL or meniscus tear. Sprains are only partial tears.

Just a sprain? What grade?

depends on the grade - will know more after an MRI - if there's no tearing then he could be back as soon as 2 weeks if there's tearing then it's probably at least 4-6 weeks, if we hear grade 3 then he's done for the year
