lol yeah I got like 3-4x as many holes as you do.
1. You have multiple needs at iOL, because you have no confidence in any C on the the roster and you at minimum need depth at Guard.
2. The TE room is closer to bottom of the league than anything. Need at least one of those, possibly two.
3. Absolutely zero depth at RB. Will definitely be drafting one.
4. Below average WR core as it stands today. Bateman is a #2 you clearly don't feel confident in, and your depth is nothing special.
5. You really don't have much pass rushing depth outside or inside. Assuming Madubuike isn't back to start the year, its still a pretty average IDL.

There really aren't that many positions where you can take a guy on day 3 and say "yes, I feel like he can start right away". I don't even think you can do that with Center or RB. Basically if you're giving up a 2nd rounder to move up for a pass rusher, you can't draft any other position in the 3rd round except Center. And EDC is never going to go into a draft with that mentality.
Looking for depth isn't a hole. If the situation can be resolved by signing a vet min player then its not a hole and RB3 is one of those positions (and you can find RB3 on day 3 as well).

You can upgrade a position and not have it be a hole. With the 22/24 starters (depending on how you structure it) the hole is when you look at them and go "that is going to be a problem if they are the day 1 starter". I look at the roster and go IOL and pass rusher. If that is the Ravens starting IOL on day 1 of the season they have a bottom 5 IOL. Their pass rush last year was t28th in sacks last... so bottom 5 in the NFL and one player does not solve that problem and does not make it rise to league average.

I rank the WR as probably 15th-18th so average to very slightly below average. There are just a lot of teams that dont even have anyone on the level of Flowers and that elevates the entire unit. Andrews is still a good TE and will be the starter, unless they for some reason use their first on the TE and not Bain or IOL, so its strange to me to stress about who the backup TE will be. We already saw the Ravens are pretty bad about utilizing more than one TE in a game in general and the Ravens seem to be a TE factory so whoever they get will be good... somehow.

this would feel like such a mistake just like last time we picked a TE in the 1st round... and he ended up being completely overshadowed by a guy we picked later

if you want to draft a freak at TE, wait and draft Delp, Raridon, Stowers on day 2
I love stowers

I would be good with Vega at 14 now, unlike earlier. He is a really good prospect. I wouldn't love it, but this Draft is kinda shit. I'd even be OK with Mesidor. I only really have about 8 names I would say are truly guys that I think are difference makers. Everyone else is kind of 1st-2nd round dude.

FWIW, Vega is one of those guys.

I think we almost have to go OL in 1st rnd if possible.

wasn't even the number 1 TE on his own college team

I would be upset with a TE in Round 1. If we pick Sadiq, that is a lame ass move IMHO. I am not a fan of taking a TE in the first round. I don't think the value is there. As you said, it's a position we've been immensely successful drafting throughout the Draft. Even if Sadiq is the second coming of Todd Heap, I'm still saying nah and I loved Heap.

We really don't need to do that if Vega is gone. I think he and Fano are the best OL in the class. I really like Mauigoa, too, but the medical reports are an unknown for me. I'd rather take Freeling if we have to as a Stanley replacement, even if he rides the bench.

According to the 20 best in the last 5 years in percentage of success, these would be the choices.

1Jason Boris -
2Brendan Donahue - Kenyon Sadiq ( 13 abril )
3Jared Smola -
4Lou Pickney - Ioavavega Ioane ( 22 abril )
5Scott Smith - Dillon Thienemann ( 7 abril )
6Matthew Freedman - Spencer Ganó ( 19 abril )
7Russell Brown - Akeem Medidor ( 9 febrero )
8Josh Norris - Mansoor Delane ( 20 abril )
9Xavier Cromartie - Keldrick Faulk ( 29 marzo )
10Brian Johannes - Jermod McCoy (29 febrero)
11David P. Woods - Ioavavega Ioane ( 22 abril )
12Forrest N Long - Spencer Fano ( 14 abril )
13John Daigle - Kenyon Sadiq ( 22 abril )
14Brian Phlipot - Kenyon Sadiq (14 abril )
15Matthew Jones - Olavaivega Ioane ( 1 abril )
16Ben Standig - Olavaivega Ioane ( 7 abril )
17Peter Clarke - Jordin Tyson(7 abril)
18Tom Downey - Reúnen Bain (22 abril )
19Trevor Sikkema -
20Ryan McCrystal - Jermod McCoy (6 de abril )

Doyle uses more sets with 2/3 TEs, generally 12.
Currently we only have Andrews and Smythe.
I think we'll choose two TEs, and while there are many similar ones in the draft, Sadiq stands out for all of those reasons (plus, along with Ioane, they're the favorites for pick 14).
Remember, The Bears drafted Colston Loveland last year in the first round with the 10th overall pick. So from that perspective and the fact Doyle came from Chicago, this makes sense. If there was a way for us to trade down with a team then draft Sadiq then I'm good. I just wonder if we do want another Tight End, perhaps Kyle Pitts could be acquired from Atlanta?

Why would Cole Jackson have info on a name from the Ravens? Furthermore, why would he tell everyone even if he did know. That doesn't help the Ravens.

I think Doyle runs a TE heavy offense and right now they only have one.

We’re definitely going Sadiq if DJ did it in his final mock. That guy is plugged in.

He also got us trading back into the 1st for Peter Woods.

That would be wild. Not sure I like giving up what it would take to get Woods but I do at least understand the interest if he’s working off some inside info. The flashes are there even if it’s inconsistent.

Damn well better not be 2027 picks.

Don’t like sadiq at 14 but all in all I could get excited for this

Would be severely pissed off about the OL though. Like there’s no way we ignore it again for the whole offseason after losing our best starter

With Lamar it was 54 and 125 (there was a 2nd round pick but they returned another one). Seattle only has 4 picks this year, so we can give away several selections without needing any from next year. We could give away 45, 154 and a few more to sweeten the deal and we would easily exceed the value

I would be very happy with that draft.

There's a lot of talent at G in this draft. I would even say the best talent is in the 2-4th rounds. There's a definite drop-off in the 4th (maybe early 4th), and the C class is also pretty good (some good guys I like, not a very deep class but a generally good class). G is probably one of the strongest classes in this Draft along with TE, although TE is generally flat. All-in-all, TE, EDGE, IOL are the strengths of this Draft, IMHO. I'm pretty sure we will be heaving investing in these groups over the next 3 days.
