Explaining to British colleagues who don't have any idea about football that you are tired because you stayed up to see college kids get drafted is always a fascinating conversation.
I don't even try. I just tell them I didn't sleep well last night. I don't want people to think I'm the kind of weirdo who watches American football.

i dont think anyone would care about him if he ran a 4.55
he doesnt run like a 4.39 guy on tape - and he can't decelerate on tape which is really how you get open as a receiver running that fast, and he doesnt win routes with physicality which is how most TEs win their routes

all a LB has to do is bump him in his route (and he doesnt have the wiggle to avoid the contact) and suddenly the windows that were wide open in college are slammed shut

if im wrong about sadiq, so be it, but i'd rather another team take that risk
I think someone mentioned DK Metcalf and Sadiq feels similar to Metcalf for me. He just isn't refined. Now, does that mean he can't be a good player? Of course not. But I don't think the Ravens are the team to unlock that historically. I'd feel better if he went to the Rams or somewhere with an offensive genius type. I think a really underrated aspect of the draft is where a player gets drafted to.

Personally, except for Hamilton (who I didn't expect to fall), I don't like most of the Ravens' draft picks. Luckily, some of them arrive as free agents later on.
I liked Travis Jones, I liked Kolar.

Last year I liked Egbuka, Simmons, or Campbell for the first round, for example.

This year I like Woods, Delane, and Bain
Okay. I'll make you happy then. We are taking Bain in the first round.

There are rumors of Pickens being traded. Eagles? Rams?
Anywhere but the Ravens please. I don't have a problem with the trade per se, but it's got to be treated like a 1 year rental and we can part with nothing more than a conditional 3rd round pick, the condition being 1000 yards/10TDs. Or it turns into a 4th round pick. This isn't happening so I am not expecting him to be a Raven.

What’s everyone’s preferred channel to watch the draft. I always watch NFLN but that’s more because it’s always NFL lol. Any ESPN lovers for draft night in particular?

I can't remember a lot from back then but don't think there were too many 1st rounders better than Marvin. Tre White, TJ Watt?

Some good receivers went off the board later.
I think some people wanted Jonathan Allen or OJ Howard. Howard was mentioned a lot in the one surviving draft thread from 2017. I just remember @29BmoreBird22 leading the Humphrey bandwagon before and after the draft

I watched it on ESPN for years because of my sat provider, channel was packaged with Sky Sports. Last couple years watching on NFLN.

Not too impressed by either. They all run their agendas.

Why is QB not even an option?!

I think its unlikely, but Ozzie loves Ala. If he falls after Mendoza i would not be shocked. Favre/ Rogers scenario?

Otherwise, DT or DE.

Jay Glazer is reporting something juicy is gonna happen during draft night. Says he has to wait until the clock is on before revealing details or some shit. We'll see.
