Fowler confirming that teams tried to jump the Ravens for Vega

I think the way the board falls will make it clear Vega was the right pick.

I reckon Bisontis, Pregnon and Dunker could all be gone by 45 so if we wanted one of the top 2 tiers of interior linemen, we had to pass on Bain.
I also reckon there will still be some very solid Edges still available, so they might've handled these 2 picks the right way.

It's what I would've done anyway but we'll soon see if I'm wrong.

dunker would also have been a nightmare outcome

Usually there isn't an incumbent GM that has had the power that stays around in those types of situations. They usually find a lackey to fill the position. Difference here is that Schoen was willing to take the "demotion"
That makes more sense. This Giants situation is nuts

Also, 19 of us thought we were going OL in the first round.

We know our team lol
I might've gotten one of the 1st votes in for OL, but I immediately regretted it due to all of the talk here about how Vega was going to get picked before us. I'm glad I was right and wrong at the same time
