Jinda surprised Hecht wasnt the first C to go personally

the Cs are very scheme dependent and have different flavours and strengths

Jones makes sense in an outside zone type team
Slaughter is well rounded and has the best chance of being multi-positional - really good in space too
Hecht is the best technician and really good inside zone

My guy, we wont have 5 5th rounders plus a 6 and maybe a 7 make the roster. It's better to ensure you get some guys you actually believe in

I understand we need a C but I'm also glad we're not reaching for a need just to fill a hole. So many better players still on my board.
I think with O line you just need to get them where they're going. There are O line needs across the league and they're not coming out of college the way they used to, but you still need to build as good a line as you can.

I think they're always going to be over-drafted from now on.

I think we're in good shape; there are still plenty of interesting players out there.

I'm not going to name them because I'm sure someone else will pick them

I agree that I think we needed to restack the board to make sure OL is a priority but that doesn't mean I'm reaching to do that. No way the guys that just went are 2nd round talent.

That's looking from a broad view though and not the reality. Better players are sitting on the board thanks to an unnecessary positional run.

i like this C class - but none of these guys are players im going to lose sleep over missing out on above getting guys at other positions
Hecht's 62nd on my board and easily the top C - but i've got 9 guys still available ahead of him in my stack

Beck is worth the pick here for the Cards. Might as well take your swing after you got a great RB and a G.

But will a 2nd round talent ever be available in the second round when colleges just aren't producing enough good O linemen? It seemed like a lot of 2nd round talents at tackle were taken ilast night.

I think you just need to meet the market where it is for O line

This can be true if you're in desperate need. Bht what it means is you get less talented players than going BPA. It's a thing you have to weigh.
