Didn't manage to get round to him.

But based on the quick amount I've been able to look at, his projections suggests he's going to be an in-line blocker type guy who offers a seam threat but not much wiggle or underneath route-running.

From the Beast:
STRENGTHS
● Not imposing but solidly built with definition in his arms and lower body
● Has linear twitch in his lower half to fire into routes and establish positioning
● Accelerates smoothly and doesn’t lose steam down the seam
● Posts up and shields defenders at the top of routes
● Hand-eye coordination to look the ball into his hands
● Strains through man coverage to locate and adjust to the ball
● Strong, tight hands in the run game to fit and churn his feet
● Steady execution on the move to locate and connect with defenders
● Well-established character — former Eagle Scout who grew up in a military family

WEAKNESSES
● Average short-area shake (before and after the catch)
● Has some tightness in his core, hindering quick change-of-direction ability
● Needs to eliminate some route drift to be more consistent at uncovering
● Will get yards in front of him, but not an elusive or tackle-breaking threat
● Blocking sustain would benefit from better knee bend
● Physical blocker, but would like to see a little nastier finish
● Doesn’t have a playmaking resume (only four career games of more than 60 receiving yards)

Every year they neglect the OL. Yes we got Ioane but we lack depth and we absolutely lack center. Ledford is good but he's not God

4.57 40" vertical threat, 6-year player, with only two years of starting experience.
Minter knows him from Michigan; Doyle is a tight end specialist.
If you see him play, you'll understand why. I see him as the kind of tight end we usually choose.
I don't think it was necessary to go up the price.

Just by watching the the little thats out on him, you can tell how he gonna be used in the offense.. especially if doyle is an under the center type of guy

Agreed

I guess we just treated that pick like it would have been the later one, and a 6th rounder a year out can easily be replaced. Now that I think about it, it's essentially a free move up
