Around the NFL: News and Rumors

Golden Tate traded to the Eagles for a 3rd round pick. Great pick up for them.

Nice one for Denver. They aren't going anywhere in 2019 and they know it. No reason at all to take a 14 mi cap hit, and a cut would not be good. At least a medium pick. Tate was overpaid. UFA next season.

the rise of some young offensive weapons made him surplus to requirements anyway - and he most definitely doesnt have a rapport with keenum either

Any word on who the Ravens are or may be interested in before the trade deadline?

Edit: As soon as I asked this question, SportsCenter announced that the Ravens traded for Ty Montgomery from the Packers.

Jaguars trade Donte Fowler to the Rams. In other words, the Rams basically say "Fuck your OL."

Mind you, we play this team next season........in LA. Prayers for whoever our QB is.

the Rams are all in on a Superbowl this year basically
edge rusher was their one key area of weakness and so they've gone all in on trying to get some edge rush

and dante fowler probably leaves in free agency and gets them a 3rd rounder comp pick back because he's gonna get loads of sacks with Suh and Aaron Donald inside

And I respect it.....especially for the city they play in where they desperately need a stronger home crowd (face it, it was a 50/50 split of GB and Rams fans). Eventually, Goff is gonna get paid the big bucks.

Man - it is getting hard to envision anything but a Rams v. Saints NFC and Chiefs v. Pats AFC Championship match up. It feels like about a 95% chance that the Super Bowl winner will be among those 4.

i reckon almost every pundit or casual observer probably could have picked 75% of those teams before the season started too without even thinking about it...

Yep - you can also notice a bit of hesitation by defenders. Nobody likes to look like a fool out there.

Lamar is getting better each time at reading the defence post-snap (which is a great development tool moving forwards even if he is only seeing specific defensive patterns when he's on the field at the moment)

Derek Anderson is out this week with a concussion which means the Bills turn back to Nathan Peterman this Sunday against the Bears.

Yeah I thought the Vikes were going to in the final 4 and I was not convinced that KC was going to look anything like this.

The 2016 Head Coaching class has seen four of those coaches fired with three remaining.

Fired:
Hue Jackson
Chip Kelly
Mike Mularkey
Ben McAdoo

Remaining:
Dirk Koetter(Likely fired during or after the season)
Adam Gase(Maybe?)
Doug Pederson(The soul survivor of this class with the most success)
