Around the NFL: News and Rumors

careful what you wish for...

Yeah and honestly he's looking for something that's probably not there. Unfortunately the players allowed themselves to get bent over at the table by the Owners in the current deal. There is no opt out clause for any side(players or owners) and it expires in 2020.

Additionally Kaep's actions have more to do with himself and nothing to do with the CBA.

if the owners colluded the CBA can be voided, how many owners? that's a question for the moderator and courts. I want this CBA in the circular file.

i'm rooting for Kaep. want the collective bargaining agreement striken!

Why would you want to risk another season of no football with a lockout? I'm all for the players wanting to get a better deal and re-negotiate the CBA but not this way. If players want a better deal, fine but I don't want Kaep to be the reason for a potential lockout.

i dunno that id mind the rest of this season disappearing given how bad the team is lol...
in any case the cba would be voided if this is proven
it would probably be to both the fans and players benefits - youd probably see higher player salaries (qbs are the most important position in sports, most underpaid, and most crippling financially to a franchise because of the salary cap all at the same time), you'd hopefully see larger rosters, maybe less long training camp and fewer preseason games, probably more revenue going to the players from means other than just tv money, hopefully that would mean less commercial breaks/more 30second ads over the top of the game (which im fine with as long as we dont miss any play)

in any case im rooting for this to be borne out properly to see whether collusion really occurred or not because its illegal and immoral if it did happen
i want this saga over but i want it over fairly and with due process being taken and with the issues that created it as well as accentuated it being addressed as well as the actual case itself - the two arent really mutually exclusive in my eyes (although i imagine the nfl would argue otherwise if collusion is found to have happened)

but oh well

I agree they need a better deal, but the players signed the deal. They need time to work on a new deal.

Totally agree. No reason to risk lockout for one player.

According to ABC15 in Arizona, Cardinals Head Coach Bruce Arians won't return to the Cardinals in 2018. That he intends to make this season his last with the Cardinals. Bruce Arians on Twitter then came out and said rumors of his retirement are false and he is focused on SF.

Rumors of retirement may be false, but who's to say his departure rumors aren't true. #ArianstotheRavensforthe2018season

Yeah remember when the Steelers tried to pass off his firing as retirement? Then he showed up in Indianapolis as their OC, so hopefully he "retires" from Arizona and shows up in Baltimore as our OC. Something tells me the retirement leaks most likely mean something is going on behind the scenes where he could be let go if the Cardinals don't turn it around.

oh i feel pretty confident that he palmer and fitz are all retiring at the end of the year - but that doesnt mean the rumours are true...

Yet they keep voting in the same guy to lead the NFLPA. smh

Indeed. Hell, who could forget Kubiak saying he wanted to build a "foundation" for our offense and then.....

I am salivating at the idea of Bruce calling the plays here....
Bruh.......with an improved o-line and running game, it'd be lit. Problem is that the football gods do not want the Ravens to prosper offensively so it's only a dream (sadly).

Basically every member of the Jags defense deserves an extension. If Ramsey continues balling the way he is, he'll get PAID big time.
