3 years, $21M isn't anything to just scoff at.
i didnt realise it was that high - in any case i think most teams would be safe in the knowledge that he wont be finishing that contract in which case they might not have to pay all the money out

Yeah, he’s beyond gone, but the real problem is Reese. He needs to be fired as well.
Well, they're only on hook for half the money this year, but if they could get out of years 2 and 3, I bet a team would pick him up very quickly.i didnt realise it was that high - in any case i think most teams would be safe in the knowledge that he wont be finishing that contract in which case they might not have to pay all the money out
Unless more anonymous players come out, I wouldn't be. Seems to me that their FO is gonna stay the status quo.idk if there's anyone in house who could take over (spagnolo maybe but then they'd need a new defensive coordinator which is never a great idea midseason) but id still be surprised if mcadoo even makes it to black monday tbh
To be fair, Jerry Reese's job as GM could be over as well and a full house cleaning for the G-Men could take place in 2018. I fully expect Eli to finish his career much like Peyton did, in another jersey. Report is ownership has told scouts to go heavy on scouting the quarterbacks in the 2018 draft so that tells me they are ready to start over and this could be the Giants house cleaning to start a new era much like when Indy cut ties with a lot of long time players to start fresh in 2012.
Again, coaching has to be the most important thing in the NFL when it comes to the success of the team. 2 years removed from Tom Coughlin and the Giants are a mess, meanwhile in year one of the Coughlin era in Jacksonville, Tom Coughlin already instilled on the team the same toughness that helped lead him to 2 Super Bowl victories over the Patriots in New York. Their play shows it, and Coughlin is going to make the Jaguars a new contender in the AFC to deal with from this point on.
Without question, Reese has to go too. I know from time to time we criticize Ozzie, but Giants fans are even more critical of him and rightfully so. How many years does Eli have left on his remaining contract?Yeah, he’s beyond gone, but the real problem is Reese. He needs to be fired as well.
As for Coughlin, I agree. He's changing the culture of that team and, unfortunately, they seem to be on the up and up. With that defense, they will be a force to be reckoned with for years to come.
Or Alex Smith. After all, he said that was his last season with the Chiefs which kinda surprised me.their only issue at this point is that they might have gotten too good a season too early - where are they going to get their franchise qb from? maybe they are the team who goes and gets kirk cousins next offseason...
Isn't he under contract until end of 2018?Or Alex Smith. After all, he said that was his last season with the Chiefs which kinda surprised me.

I believe he is which makes his statement confusing.Isn't he under contract until end of 2018?
Before the season started.when did he say that?

I get the feeling that he knows Mahomes will be the future. Probably auditioning himself when he becomes a free agent.oh he's probably just being self-aware about the whole patrick mahomes situation

Predictable, but understandable.Update on Giants Situation: Giants will wait until after the season to fire Ben McAdoo and GM Jerry Reese.

Like the Evan Engram pick. Reese has avoided high picks for inside linebacker in I don’t know how many years and it is rare for him to trade up or down, oh don’t get me wrong, he does trade a bit, but he prefers to pick in his slot.he did well in free agency last year but yeah as a general trend he's been garbage with a couple of good looking picks saving him every now and then
