Around the NFL: News and Rumors

this might be our future OC who knows... i certainly think he's being scapegoated for an awful qb room assembled by elway

He is. Remember when Elway was thought to be this great GM..... now he has fallen into a situation that if his name wasn't John Elway, he be fired for not being able to find a Franchise Quarterback.

And he apparently got players pissed off for publically calling them soft before the Bengals game.

I was just coming here to post this. Man I tell you, the Football Gods are like, "John, I'm giving you every break possible to make the playoffs". Don't screw up!
At this point we could win out! And maybe John benching perriman is the spark he needed. One can hope....

They are trying to make up for all of our early injuries. Now Harbaugh found his own voodoo doll.

from gregg rosenthaal:

  • Drafts have eroded the Broncos talent base. Since 2013 — 5 drafts -- the best picks have probably been Bradley Roby, Matt Paradis, Justin Simmons.
  • Easier to blame the OC than the guy who has constructed a broken offensive line 3 years running

i hate the team we could field without them all being injured but at least most of them happened early on/in the offseason where we could at least plan and scheme for their absence

didnt they still go 11-5 and only missed out because the nfc was chockablock that year but everyone in the nfc south sucked so the 7-8-1 panthers got in and the 11-5 eagles had to watch from home...
Just checked. They went 10-6, but missed because both the Cardinals and the Lions went 11-5. However you're correct about the garbage NFC South that season (who we swept by the way, just to put that out).

The last thing I would call the Broncos defense with guys like Miller, CHJ and Brandon Marshall is soft. Now the offense is a different story altogether.
