Around the NFL: News and Rumors

Yep, the Pats have been seriously lucky to this point. Some of it has to do with teams not wanting to wait ams be stuck behind the eight ball when putting together the coordinators and assistants when a team such as the Pats has to finish the SB before getting hired

it seems that because of the high number of vacancies this year that teams are ok waiting if it means getting a good one

So it seems Bill O’Brien won the battle in Houston - reports that the Texans have hired a firm to help them locate a replacement for rick smith their gm

Pete Carroll says he thinks it will be tough for both Kam Chanceller and Cliff Avril to ever play football again. It sounds like he thinks the injuries they suffered are career ending.

wow, that's devastating.

Not that it’s worse because they are great players but this could hardly have happened to 2 worse (for the Seahawks) players - these guys are not just crucial to that team schematically but also in the locker room (even if chancellor has been known to come out and look like an absolute tool sometimes)

You know, there's been talks of the Seahawks defense going through some big time changes. Unfortunately, this may be the beginning. I'm totally keeping an eye on their offseason.

With all the bad blood in the locker room it was already gonna be a tumultuous offseason - add to it a couple of career ending injuries, a less effective Sherman and constantly injured earl Thomas and I’m not sure Pete Carroll has long left in Seattle tbh

Michael Bennett said he expects to be released in the off season, too.

I remember Thomas and Wagner getting at it on Twitter as well, but......

.......it's clear to me the Hawks' arrow is trending downwards coincidentally while the team who tends to have their number has their arrow pointing up, up, and away: the Rams. Plus, the other Cali team could be a Wild Card contender if their amazing QB continues to do amazing things. I am so impressed with him.

right now surely larry fitzgerald is gonna retire too - everyone always thought the 3 would go out together and now 2 are gone you'd assume he wouldnt want to stay and have to learn a new offence with no guarantee of having a decent qb throwing him the ball...

That’s why I said it was devastating.
